Absolutely! I have to thank @liberhoe for most of this bc we talked about it at like 1-2am and made each other soft hsjdhsj

When they’re still babies, Alex Will Not Touch Them at first. He actively refuses to hold them. Not because he doesn’t like kids, but you learn it’s because he’s so big and muscly and clumsy and it makes him worried he’s gonna hurt them

Once you assure him everything’s okay and he eventually holds the baby, you are Not Getting Them Back. He looks at this child with so much love and holds them so gently and takes extra good care of them - he’s just such a proud dad💕

He’s the kind of dad to toss his kids in the air and catch them. This may or may not terrify the farmer, but he does it anyway and the kids are delighted

Alex loves playing gridball with his kids! On nice spring or summer days, he’ll take them out and teach them how to throw and catch the ball, and once they’re older he’ll teach them how to actually play

Alex also has dyslexia and doesn’t fully know how to read, so not only does he teach the kids to read, he learns to read with them. Farmer prints out things in a font Alex can read easily and he sits with the kids and they all try to read together, with Alex usually being the one to speak out loud. He makes sure to provide them with so much encouragement on hard words, but sometimes everyone needs farmer’s help to read a big word

He’s so fucking protective of them. If anyone he doesn’t like the vibes of gets close to his kids, he’s Right There glaring at them and staying close to his kids. If anyone bullies them, he is On It and probably teaches the kids self defense to keep the bullies off, and he has no problem going to parent-teacher conferences to defend his child defending themselves

Alex is also the kind of guy to make whatever food the kids want. He especially loves making them pancakes in the morning. And if they want chocolate cake for dinner, he makes sure farmer’s not looking :3

All in all, Alex is 10/10 best dad and we love him
