“[The sound design] puts a picture of musicians on stage, and then the rest of the painting comes from the acoustic sound of the onstage musicians and actors,” says Harada. “Then there’s a coherent picture of sound, some of it reinforced and some of it live. My ultimate goal on a show like this is that the audience shouldn’t really be aware of what we do.”
