[[Tavi doesn't know Kai incredibly well but she is fucking Shepard and that automatically gets him treating her a little different.  Not necessarily as more important or automatically right about things, but he definitely looks at her a little higher than the average person, after all she's an incredibly successful military leader.  Even a runaway turian will have some ingrained respect for that.  It might fade away as he knows her better though, as he'd have something else to judge her on]]
