Kai had paused while chopping vegetables for their and the older kids' dinner that night to watch Guy try to get one of their younger kids to eat the homemade baby food she had made or 'that night's elected mush.' As Guy so eloquently called it earlier that day. She couldn't help but giggle a bit when she saw that he had got some on himself once the ordeal with the little beast was over.
She shook her head softly and wiped her hands off. The alien got a wash cloth damp, going over to clean a smudge off his cheek before kissing it gently as she smiled at him. "Y'know, everyone warned me about you when we got together offically." She hummed with a smile as she continued to clean his face.

Guy’s shirt was ruined — ruined. It was his favorite anti-Batman shirt he got from the flee market that one time. Now it was riddled with questionable sauces. The material stretched over his chest was soaked with juice. Despite his slight grumblings, he made no move to clean, nor take it off to give it a wash. Instead he entered the kitchen, hip rested on the counter as he faced Kai. One look at him and she began to clean his face with a wet cloth. ( He hadn’t noticed the mess reached his face )
His throat bobbed when her lips touched his skin. So gentle. Barely even there, a whisper. Yet, his stomach did summersaults. Heart skipped a beat before it calmed once again.
His brows shot up from her words, then furrowed, face twisted into a scowl. He put a hand on her wrist, ceasing her movements. “The fuck?” Voice heated. “Everyone?”
“The hell did they say exactly?”
