since the release of ‘strawberries’ as a single from kailani’s new album, there was lots of stir about roxanne’s feature on the track. where some were elated that she was reaching out and collaborating with more artists in various genres, others were less than thrilled that she’d made yet another feature. but her time was coming, she’d been working too damn hard for it not to.
the idea was first pitched by her manager, but it was obviously a good one, and more than likely neither kailani or roxanne would have gone along with it. seeing as they couldn’t really show off anything in roxanne’s tiny apartment (not that she wanted people in her private business anyway), the group was comfortably seated in the modern-styled lounge at their studio. roxy looked at the set up that was rigged for the instagram live session, “i don’t get on live a bunch, but i feel like this is just us chillin’, so i’m not nervous. that’s not weird is it?”
