Kaindrorrenth is old enough that he doesn't remember much of his early life. He just knows that he lived in Romania with his parents and they were happy, content. That was until hunters intervened and killed both his mother and his father, leaving him alone. He found that as capable as dragons are of rage, they are just as capable of insurmountable grief. He hunted the hunters down and killed them, but it left little satisfaction.
He spent the next many centuries on his own, roaming around the mountains in Europe - quickly finding that he preferred to stay by caves near the ocean. Even if he perhaps did not want to admit it to himself, he was searching for a new family all this time. Searching for others like him. But dragons are hard to come by and Kaindrorrenth had to learn this the hard way.
He was astonished when he stumbled upon another dragon one day, centuries ago. A female, a beautiful female. Feldrurth was her name. Perhaps it was loneliness, perhaps they were just two dragons searching for company, wanting to put more of their kind into the world, or perhaps there was actually a connection. Whatever it was between them, it resulted in a daughter.
Kaindrorrenth stayed with Feldrurth and their daughter for a while. He grew fond feelings for them both, his new family. But eventually, he grew restless. Having been used to solitude for a thousand years, being around two other creatures all the time was hard for him. And he missed his cave by the ocean, his treasures.
Knowing that the two of them could handle themselves, he left to travel back to his first home in Romania. He visited over the years but largely kept to himself. It's what he prefers.
So perhaps it came as a surprise to everyone, Kaindrorrenth included, when he decided to move to Hollywood of all places. But the loneliness that he had felt earlier in life, had taken hold of him again and he missed his mate and their daughter, enough to brave a life that he would have never chossen for himself.
He has lived in Hollywood for ten years now, and having never lived in a city before, it is not without its challenges for him, but he is eager to meet more of his kind and to be with his family. Even if it means being amongst more humans, more people in general.
He has taken a job at the law firm that Feldrurth owns, as a legal consultant, having worked there for a few years now, after studying law for the first years he was here. He has found that he actually enjoys what he does, except, perhaps, when he begrudgingly has to take on the case of a human. Feldrurth is also the one who introduced him to The Society, with the approval of the Charbonneau's, and he has gained a gold membership over the years.
