It definitely depends on where in the timeline we are with him but he definitely is one to at least consult ONE trusted individual. Esp since he has issues problems that don't really help with the. Perception of reality being. Extremely grounded 100% of the time. So talking to people he trusts to help him with said grounding and like keeping his head on straight.
Esp since he kinda like. Is a part of a. Well not really anarchist group but something close to it so it'd be weird if he just made all the decisions himself now wouldn't it?
Emet was the person he essentially started building this community with and he is/was definitely one of the people Kain talked to the most about things. The other is Maggie, who is their lead medical professional. So Kain knows her very well for. A lot of reasons.
But they also have lots of mutual trust over the years and also also do not take each others bullshit for even a second. So he will especially go to her because she will not ever ever be a pushover and give in to any stupid ideas of his if she does not believe in them at all.
When he was younger he would talk to his friend Nona (my partners oc) but that gets complicated in the like... "main" timeline because she doesn't remember him teehee
