Hi I've been getting over being really sick and shit so I haven't really been active I'm sorry
But I've been like thinking and I'm like...
"What if there's a crackship where all the holiday females have like a polyamorous relationship with each other- it just starts with Bobette and Ginger taking in Bassie and soon it's those three and Cocoa and somehow Eclipse sneaks in there one year and they just accept her"
Then I realize I'm probably talking to Coffee too much and all I'm thinking about are lesbians.
Not to blame her but absolutely blaming her for this thought
♡ Hi I wanted to write my favorite disaster polycule... So here's a very chaotic (kinda shitposty) fic about the disastrous poly. I love them.
Cough real description - Vee absolutely wrecks a peaceful night and fucking wakes up her sleepy cuddly wives to paint a painting with them to celebrate their absolutely chaotic poly relationship and... They actually go along with it. They end up having a great time painting a space themed picture together over a few days and hang it in someplace special. They're also absolutely stupid and I absolutely do not wanna edit it- the unedited-ness of it just makes it funnier to me okay I'm sorry lmao ♡
☆ This is purely a oneshot written for @butch-coffee-cup 's birthday because she means the world to me and I couldn't help but try to write this for her,,, It's probably crappy as hell but it's so funny I think you'll like it ☆
✦ Uh uhm I don't know if I should tag people in birthday gifts ehe I'll tag everyone in the next fic I prommy ✦

It was just another peaceful night in the Garden of View, the toon rooms were quiet, the hallways empty, the night theirs for the taking.
It was just supposed to be her and Tisha that night, it was just supposed to be a very calm and relaxing painting session together, then-
"Knock knock."
... No that's not a typo ...
Brusha lifted her head up from her comfortable spot against Tisha's shoulder as they cuddled up in bed, her eyes squinted as she blinked away the fuzziness of sleep. She turned to the pajama theif beside her- the light blue tissue box now wearing one of her own sweaters as a dress again as she flipped the page in the magazine, the focus on what was supposed to be said previously mentioned painting session was looooong gone by now. It went from painting, to organizing, to yawning- now cuddling. And now some freak was at their door-
"Knock knock, jerks. I know you're in there you literally told me what you two were doing. Answer the door."
Literally saying knock knock instead of knocking on it.
Brusha blinked away the sleep some more, then she slowly shifted out of bed and tiredly opened the door, seeing a very similarly tired out Shelly in her usual dino onesie next to a bouncing, hyperactive Vee with a NASA shirt on and matching navy blue pajama pants with glow in the dark stars on them.
"How the fuck did you two even get down here-?"
"I hacked the elevator." Vee stated simply with a grin, getting a slow blink from Brusha.
"And the security cameras?"
"Hacked those too."
"And the program that keeps you in your room?"
"Hacked me too."
"You... Hacked... Yourself-?"
"No time to explain!" Vee proclaimed boldly as she struck a pose, making the exhausted fossil let out a soft giggle as she leaned against the doorway, her tail wagging as she started to fall asleep again. Brusha quickly stepped in and carefully picked her up, getting a quiet "thank you" in reply from the very very exhausted fossil. Brusha, gay and unashamed, gave her a loving kiss on the cheek and replied with a soft "you're welcome hon", then she looked back at Vee. Vee just stared at her with her big green eyes, her tail wagging behind her as she went from smiling somewhat normally to a huge, very much not sane looking smile.
"What do you want, Version Gay?"
"First of all you're not wrong, second of all I want to paint something I think would look really nice in your art gallery and would represent all of us in our own special ways because we're all gay and... Well let's be real, we're all so different right? But I think we're also pretty similar in a lot of ways and, I think having a painting that looks normal to- everyone else- that means a lot to us as a group would be really cool and, honestly really comforting. Not just for me- but for all of us on our bad days, as a reminder that we're not just toons living in some gayass world, we're thriving, we're finding love and we're living! We're also gay as hell and I have no idea how I'm saying half of this stuff, but does that even matter when we all have each other right here? Does it really matter what other people say about us as long as we're actually happy and... Feeling good around each other?" Vee questioned as she simply strolled into the paintbrush's bedroom without even asking, getting a glare from her love-nemy as she watched her from the comfort of not her bed. Vee didn't even care, she just gently started picking up paints and smiling as she turned back to Brusha, who was actually really interested in whatever nonsense idea Vee was talking about this time.
"I think we should paint a galaxy together, one with different hues of purples and blues and maybe some pinks to spice it up, and we should make the stars we paint show up in constellations that represent us as little like Easter eggs or something. Space is really beautiful, yet very conflicting. Like... There's stars that we see that probably were alive when the dinosaurs went extinct, but died off afterwards and we just don't know it because of how far the light travels to be visible, ya know? There's some that are newer and we just can't see them yet, there's even some that are from ancient constellations- and... I'm... Rambling again, aren't I?"
"You are, nerd." Brusha softly teased, gently pretending to ruffle Vee's non-existant hair in a lovingly teasing way, getting a raspberry blown at her in reply from the robot as she crossed her arms.
"I am not a nerd!"
"Nah, you are, it's quite adorable though. However I am quite curious about your color theory for this art project of yours, and wondering why the hell you broke into my room and started touching my paints."
"I'm glllllad you asked!" Vee proudly announced as she struck another pose, holding up the stolen paints like they were glass objects that should be handled with the utmost care- despite being coated in dry paint and the most abused paints you'll ever see in your entire life. Brusha and Shelly immediately were laughing at it, while Tisha just sassily rolled her eyes at the shenanigans.
"So have you guys ever heard of the Aurora Borealis? Northern Lights?? I was thinking we use your-" Vee then pointed at Brusha like she just won a game show "abstract artstyle to make the background, using shades of purples like your hair and blues like her-" Vee paused just to point at Tisha, which made her pause and look at the TV host in pure confusion. "Her... Uh... Everything. And greens like my body for the background!! Then we use her-" Vee paused yet again to turn and point at Shelly "Knowledge of dinosaurs to make the main constellation shaped like a dinosaur we all like to make her the center of attention since she's the reason we even got together! Then we use the spaces around the corners to make smaller ones to represent us, and we use a tanner shade of yellow to match her shell! And after all that, we use your glow in the dark top coat to cover the painting so we-"
"We'd have to use several of those, Vee. However, I do see how I could make such an ambitious artwork work, but it'll take time and patience."
"And all of us working together, right?" Vee pipped up excitedly, making Brusha and Tisha both sigh in unison, neither of them expecting to ever see this side of the gameshow host in front of them before. They never thought they'd see the happy go lucky, absolute space nerd and dorky side of Vee that they've heard Shelly ramble about countless times before. They never thought this was even a real thing... Yet here she was- Vee version one, the usually bland and stoic and blunt gameshow host was being a big, excitable baby as she posed like the world was hers.
It... Honestly probably was hers at this point.
"Yes... Yes we will work together, we all will have a part in this, but tonight, I think me and you should. Shelly and Tisha should get their rest, but you and me? We're energized, aren't we nerd?"
"I'm still not a nerd."
"Nothin' wrong with being one, I actually admire that about you, I just think its funny when you get mad at me for it. Now..." Brusha went silent for a good minute as she walked across the room, going right over to her comfortably purple bed and gently laying the fast asleep fossil onto it. She then gently covered her up in her softest blanket, treating the very soft and delicate fossil like she was the world's most precious item. Because to the three of them- she was. Tisha soon just silently handed the paintbrush the book she was reading before she carefully rolled onto her side and cuddled with the fossil, who just silently and carefully cuddled back in her sleep, her tail soon found wagging under the blankets.
Adorable.
Brusha would've stopped to admire her if it wasn't for the feeling of Vee's intense staring burning into the back of her head, so she just gave the two quick kisses on the tops of their heads and a whispered goodnight, then she walked back over to Vee. Vee just bounced in her spot, comparing shades of purples together as her mic tail wagged into a green motion blur behind her, so Brusha just chuckled and grabbed a clean canvas (HAH) before putting it onto her biggest easel, adjusting everything so it was perfect. Well, as perfect as perfect could be, she knew Tisha would appreciate it being slightly neat after all.
"I think blending this purple and this purple and then using this purple to fade it into this blue would make it look really really cool!" Vee spoke up after a good few minutes of looking at the various paints Brusha had in her painting corner in her bedroom, turning to face the now focused toon and soon watching her as she set out every paintbrush they'd possibly need in a neat order- the paint water cups already in their designated spots and their real cups set out where they won't drink paint water on accident. It stunned Vee to see Brusha so tidy... Then she remembered why that was happening and no longer was as impressed, as she knew all too well Tisha had made all three of them start being more orderly even if order wasn't what made her feel better.
It just was one of those things they've picked up from her, they supposed.
"I believe you're accurate on those color choices, Vee."
"I also think we should use this tan!"
"That is yellow, but I agree, that is a very nice star color, especially if we-"
"ADD GOLDEN GLITTERR!!!" Vee finished for Brusha as she excitedly held up the tube of golden glitter paint, which made Brusha burst out laughing as she nodded in agreement. She never knew two things until that moment - that Vee could genuinely be this excitable and sweet, and that she absolutely wanted to kiss her to death from accidentally giving her similar energy right now as it was absolutely humiliating to the usually very calm and sarcastic paintbrush to be so giddy and excitable too.
Wait a second - she's her girlfriend, she could kiss her right now and make her blue screen to death.
Nah, that's for later, as she was currently watching the little robot set out all the paints she thought would fit the painting the best, fighting off the urge to either mock her playfully for being such a cutie pie or trap her in a tight hug and kiss all over her face while nobody was looking. She definitely was blushing as she watched her though, watching Vee as she bounced between the paints and the workspace like a little bunny. Vee soon was done with her overly excited paint transferring mission, but instead of immediately asking to get started- she immediately started sorting them out by color, which was yet another thing Tisha had accidentally rubbed off on them despite it not being her main focus either, but this actually had a reason.
"We do the first layer tonight of purples, right? Then tomorrow, Tisha and you can do these, then when that is dry- we let Shelly take over and do the main constellation, then we all four take turns painting ours and signing it. That way, everyone has a role in it too, and it won't look muddy from too many layers either!" Vee explained as she pointed to every set as she spoke, making it extremely clear what she had in mind. Brusha blinked a few times at that.
"Vee, how long have you been plotting this-?"
"A week."
"Alright... So we do the galaxy background together tonight?" Brusha softly asked as she got the palette prepped, making Vee just nod excitedly as she grabbed the waterproof set of clothes she always wore over her usual ones so she didn't get wet from paint.
"Yup!!!"
"And you're sure you want to do all this while you're being such a gremlin?" Brusha teasingly asked, watching Vee as she nodded again and stretched.
"I am so certain."
And she was... Actually certain.
The night was spent with Brusha working on the top of the canvas and Vee taking the bottom, the two making some of the prettiest abstract versions of space they've possibly could've made together, Vee going from hyperactive goblin to quiet and focused the moment her paintbrush touched the paint. By the time they were done, Shelly was up and watching them sleepily, looking very at ease with just being a witness to this. Vee however- as Vee is- pushed her to her spot after noticing she was awake an watching.
"Shells, make it pretty, I gotta grab something."
"Oh- uh, okay, stay safe Vee!! I love you!!" Shelly called out once she was forced into Vee's old spot, then she turned to Brusha, who just smiled and gave her a quick kiss on the top of her head.
"We're working on the aurora right now, grab one of the greens and join in wherever you see fit, darling. Once this is done we're going to let it dry for a bit, so the stars don't blur into the background." Brusha softly explained, making Shelly give a singular determined nod before she picked up where Vee left off. Brusha soon just nodded again and gently set her paintbrush down into the water cup, stretching before she gave Shelly another kiss on the cheek.
"I'm gonna take a break, if that's alright, I am starting to not feel my wrist."
"I'll get it, Brusha. I know what you guys are doing and I could use a break from cleaning, go take a nap." Tisha softly spoke up as she walked over, making Brusha warmly smile and nod.
"I'll go slip into a coma for you, Tissues."
"Hope you never wake up."
"I love you, Tish."
"Hate your guts too, Brush."
The trio all knew that was a lie, they didn't comment on it though. The two now focused on the painting together, Shelly taking every stroke as seriously as she would when she would dust off fossils, while Tisha finally let herself just relax and take it easy, not at all focusing on how great she was doing and instead just letting herself be free with it. They both were at ease together, and Brusha silently just watched them with a comfortable smile, just resting in bed and enjoying the peaceful silence and the comforting show of the two just- painting together.
More time passed and the background of their shared work was now done and died, Vee was now sitting on the edge of Brusha's bed with her guitar in hands, playing some relaxing music for the group with it despite looking like she was rocking the hell out on it at the moment. Tisha was beside her now, gently cleaning her mic for her after she had untangled her cord, humming along with the soft and steady acoustic guitar playing right now. Shelly was still at the painting, gently painting every star in her dinosaur constellation now- which they all agreed to make a stegosaurus. "In honor of Limeade" they all cheered earlier that morning, the plush that was now being honored in said painting just sitting on the bed between Tisha and Vee. Brusha was now gently organizing the paints again, making sure they were all in Shelly's reach as they all silently just chillaxed together.
"I have been curious Shells." Tisha quietly spoke up after a minute, flicking the last little bit of dirt out from between the grills of Vee's mic as she spoke, getting a little twitch and slight giggle out of the robot. "Why did you make her a stegosaurus plush? Would've thought you'd go with something lesser known, it seems like something you'd do a lot of research on and thinking-"
"Oh! Simple! They're really iconic, and Vee is, and when I made the little guy, Vee didn't know much besides the information she was programmed with. So she'd have an easier time recognizing what species it was, too! Oh and on the dinosaur themed trivia show she hosted, she was a stegosaurus, and so was the winning answer! They just seem to come up a lot, and I think there's something lovely about that." Shelly explained sweetly as she painted, tapping her feet to the music Vee was making as she turned and looked at the two. Tisha just returned the sweet smile as she gently got up, though she just went and started helping Brusha out with the organizing.
"Shelly you should totally make us all stegosaurus plushies and name them all after drinks, it would be so fun to have one named Grape Juice." Brusha suggested playfully, flicking her bangs out of her face as she pulled Tisha into a side hug, who just pretended to hate it as she huddled close. Vee paused for a minute, then smiled huge.
"AND WE SHOULD MAKE THEM ALL KISS TOO!!"
"Plush stegosaurus wedding next month." Tisha chimed in, making the group all start laughing at the idea. Though knowing Vee- she'd probably make it happen. Shelly rolled her eyes as a laugh escaped her mouth, her tail wagging a little faster.
"Only if you guys let me make you two dinosaur onesies to match mine and Vee's."
"Deal!" Tisha and Brusha stated in unison, just for them to immediately glare at each other as Brusha shoved Tisha away playfully. Vee laughed as they kissed two seconds later, going back to her guitar as Shelly just went back to putting the finishing details on the constellation- making it as accurate as possible, just to ease her dinosaur loving mind.
The four of them soon were on all four concerns of the painting, adding their own little designs and lots of little stars around and inside of the main constellation to sell the galaxy aesthetic of the artwork, all four of them painting some of the stars as little hearts- none of them stopping the others from doing so. Before they knew it- somehow within a week- it was done.
A masterpiece of a space themed painting was completed, with every single one of their names written on the bottom of it in the most sparkly golden paint they've ever seen. It was Vee's idea, of course. It wasn't perfect, there were smudges here and obvious differences between paint stroke styles from the four of them switching to give each other a break- but it was a perfect representation of their whacky relationship.
A beautiful clash of colors, styles and interests all merged into one beautiful bond that the four of them swore up and down they could never break.
They all stared at it in awe when it was done for a good while, especially Vee, who was more than obviously happy that her glitter fest ideas were actually really good for this.
"It's... Actually a lot better than I expected. Much like this relationship... It's nice. I really like it." Tisha softly spoke up after a bit of silent admiration between the four of them, getting nods from the trio as they all looked at each other, then back at the painting again.
"Question is, where do we even put it?" Vee blurted out, making Brusha squint, then put her hand to her chin in thought. Tisha soon copied her exact pose, while Shelly just kinda walked over to the painting and looked over it before gasping.
"I think I know a spot!" She called out, making the trio look up at her. Shelly just nodded once, motioned them to come over before she grabbed one end of the painting to move it. Brusha quickly walked over and grabbed the other side, smiling as they lifted it up together.
"Lead the way, Shells."
"Will do!! Lets go!!!"
After a surprisingly very uneventful elevator ride and a few gay mishaps (and an argument between Tisha and Brusha before Vee shut them both up with kisses), the group found themselves in Shelly's museum, staring at the now framed and hung painting. It was right between two fossil exhibits, right under a light that shone down onto an ammonite display, which often made the toons question if Shelly had any say in what fossils were in there as they noticed she always gave it an uncomfortable glance. Though now, she stared at the now feeling finished display with pride, even if she knew there was supposed to be a dinosaur information poster where they had put the painting. That didn't matter, a cool ass painting was much more appealing to kids than a boring facts sheet anyways.
"You were right Shelly, it does actually fit there perfectly. How did you know it would?" Brusha asked after another long weird moment of them all silently admiring it, which made the fossil just smile sweetly, shrug, then skip away from the group to greet her handler. Vee just blinked, Tisha shrugged, and Brusha just chuckled.
"It was all part of her master plan to get more attention to the museum, eh? She's so evil sick and twisted for using us." Brusha joked, making Tisha burst out laughing.
"More like you are, you blamed the wrong toon for the idea, airhead."
"I know I know, it makes the joke funnier though jerk."
"I will never paint with you again, I hate you!"
"Will you both shut up and just kiss already? Jeez, I have a game show to host in an hour, I gotta go soon." Vee interrupted the two's "fight" with, making them just look at her, then at each other. The two just went on either side of their girlfriend and kissed either side of her monitor sweetly, making her screen go from the normal brightness to quite an intense one as her face now was mostly lime green.
"Aha... Ha... Thanks... I needed that..."
"Go cool off nerd, we'll see you after the show. Love you." Brusha stated as she gently pushed Vee to go to her job, but Vee just paused. She then looked back at the two, smiled, nodded once.
"See you nerds later, I hate both of you too. Toodles." The robot casually said, then she threw them a peace sign with her fingers as she turned back around and walked off. The two just chuckled at it together, gently taking each other's hands as they turned back to the painting they were standing in front of together.
"Brusha?"
"Wassup Tish?"
"We should paint together again sometime, uh, hopefully without Vee barging in that time. I think doing a simple painting would be nice after a long day of cleaning..." Tisha softly suggested with a slight shrug, getting a nod from Brusha as she put her arm around her again.
"Next week?"
"Yeah, I should be free next Tuesday afternoon-"
"I'll see you Tuesday afternoon in the studio then, wear something you don't mind ruining." Brusha stated, but neither of them moved. Tisha just leaned against her a little more, Brusha's grip tightened.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Tisha just smiled at that, proud of herself for not immediately going to insult Brusha, even if all her insults were full of love.
It felt nice to finally say I love you... And it felt nice to finally be able to paint the stars with the three toons that made her world so much brighter- even if it was a pretty chaotic process. She wouldn't have changed a single bit of it for the world... Even the most insane parts of the experience.
✷ Just a little insight into the daily lives of this au's Shelly and Vee before the rescue operation, them just vibing for a little while and being lovers, even if Shelly is... You'll see. You'll see. ✷

It was quiet, it was too quiet. Shelly sat up in her blanket nest, looking around the old projector room quickly to locate the toon she swore to protect, the toon that usually was right beside her - but was no longer there. She was completely missing... And Shelly was terrified as she slowly shuffled her new ichor-coated dinosaur legs underneath her and shoved herself up right into a standing position, holding her head afterwards as she fought back the dizzy feeling she immediately felt when she stood up too fast again. However, she soon pushed forward, taking long, careful strides towards the doorway of the theater room of her museum and slowly peering out, keeping most of her now twisted body out of view incase Vee had found another toon and was trying to get them to stay with them. The little robot she was looking for wasn't in that room either, not even at the broken down elevator to try to fix it. Shelly slowly walked out and instead went to look in the other elevator room, her body starting to tremble from the idea of someone coming down and taking away her only little ball of hope anymore - the love of her life, the one who made everything feel okay even when it absolutely wasn't okay. She slowly treaded across the broken elevator room and towards the middle of the museum, looking around frantically for any signs of her dear, until-
"Sunshine?"
Shelly huffed loudly at the voice, knowing immediately who it was.
It was Vee, also looking for her, her little sunshine-
Shelly attempted to call out to her, tell her that she was also right there, to tell her she was pretty and perfect and she still loves her - but she just made a dinosaur roar instead of any words. That didn't matter though, as the two soon finally met up again, as Vee followed the noise and soon blindly stumbled into the room, right in front of her fossil. The little robot was battered, having ichor stains here and there on her bright green body, her screen being messed up with a massive crack covering most of the right side and splintering slightly onto the top left side, but she was smiling wide on the part of her screen that wasn't damaged.
"Shelly! There you are! I found... Uh... Green thing! I can't see." Vee happily informed the fossil she blindly stumbled over to, and soon slammed into by complete mistake. Shelly didn't even flinch, she lowered herself back down to the ground instead and slowly sniffed the other, letting the robot gently feel out her shell face to reassure herself that she was really her.
"You're here... You're my shell... My sunshine... Okay, okay..."
"Bee..."
"I know there's nobody else here, I know... I just wish I could see that and be certain, uhm, here lemme, try to open this for you. You must be hungry, eh? I... I think this is a protein bar anyways..." Vee stated quietly, fumbling with the green bar in her hands a bit afterwards. After some blind fussing with it, and Shelly patiently waiting and helping her keep it at least steady for her, the robot finally got it open with a startled squeak, then a happy squeal.
"I GOT IT!! Okay, uh, sniff this for me, is it food?" Vee asked softly, shoving the protein bar right into Shelly's face. The twisted didn't even flinch, she just gently lowered her arm and sniffed the item softly, then verrrrry carefully took it out of her hands and started eating it quietly. Vee slowly sat down and waited for her to eat patiently, staring at her beloved fossil the best she could with a smile, obviously just happy to be right there, in their safe little area, cozy and together.
An hour soon passed, the two had settled back down in the massive mound of blankets and pillows they had gathered in the projector room, Vee sat ontop of a pillow on a box. Shelly was sitting as much as she could in front of her, her clawed, yet toony hands gently feeling different scarred parts of the other's body, her red eyes studying the other's movements intensely.
"That scratch stopped hurting last week, it's fine. That one still hurts a little- oh don't- OW-"
"Sowwy..."
"It's okay, I hit that spot on my leg on a uh... I think it was a picnic table near the sand pit? It was something brown..." Vee informed the twisted softly, her screen glitching and sparking slightly as she talked, however she seemed extremely calm as she let the fossil check out the new injury on her leg. This was normal, their routine twisting check- they didn't know what made a toon twist, and Shelly didn't want to. She didn't want to learn, to remember what happened to her, to see it happen to her partner - the only one who seemed to stick around without the intent of hurting her. The two immediately went still and silent when there was a low growl in the vents... They didn't want to know what it was either, despite hearing it every so often.
"Do... You think we'll ever be found..?" Vee suddenly asked quietly after the growling had stopped, and Shelly, she just shrugged silently, not wanting to think about this. The idea of them being found - the idea of other toons coming into their safe Haven, their home, their lives. She hated the idea of others seeing them, the thought of them being scared of Shelly now.
The thought of them taking her sunshine away...
Shelly let out a loud snort at that thought, quickly shaking her head to make it go away, which just made Vee laugh a little. She didn't know better- she genuinely couldn't see the look of distress on her face, the look of sadness and fear in her eyes- even the shake of her head. All she saw were blobs of color honestly... And Shelly knew that, she didn't judge her for laughing either.
"You make the cutest sounds sometimes... I love you... I bet you're the prettiest dinosaur ever, your eyes are probably so beautiful. I wish I could see you..." Vee softly spoke, reaching a hand out to the air afterwards, wanting to feel her fossil's face again. Shelly just leaned in and rested her cheek against the robot's hand, closed her eyes and let herself relax and rest a bit as the little robot in front of her slowly started petting her.
"You're such a ball of sunshine, you know that Shelly? You're my sunshine... Even when you don't think you are, I'm so happy I have you."
Shelly smiled at that, letting out a little chirp and a loud, content sigh. Vee just smiled even more, her broken mic tail, which usually just dragged behind her now, did a happy little twitch.
"I love you too, Shelly. I will always love you too."
Vee soon gently leaned her head in, and they soon rested with their foreheads together, Vee still giving her beloved dinosaur lots of gentle pets and whispered soft reminders to the other, telling her how loved she was and reminding her that it was going to be okay.
Even though it wasn't okay, they were both exhausted, beaten, starving and drained out of their minds- they would be okay.
They had each other, and that was enough for the other to believe it was all okay.
The two eventually ended up on the other side of the partial wall in the projector room, Vee being forced into one of the beanbags by the fossil that laid around her- literally. She was coiled around the beanbag as much as possible, head resting on Vee's lap, ontop of her own folded arms she put on her lap as well for comfort. The movie screen was playing one of the old episodes of the show they were on together, Vee's hand slowly running up and down the toon part of Shelly's back as she listened to it. Shelly just watched the cartoon silently, tail slowly swaying from side to side - comfortable. Not comfortable enough to sleep, but comfortable enough to rest a while and conserve energy incase a different twisted intruded on her territory. Vee soon laughed a little at a joke from the show, which got a comfortable sigh out of the fossil.
"Oh I hated the scripts, but they're actually kinda funny, or maybe I lost my mind when I slammed onto my head I dunno." Vee stated, patting Shelly's back gently before shrugging.
"Maybe both."
"Beeee..."
"Okay okay it's just funny, I haven't fully lost my marbles. Wait yeah I did... I had pretty marbles in my pocket and I lost them." Vee stated with a pout, though she immediately was smiling again when Shelly burst out into half roar-half laughs, patting her fossil head as the dinosaur lost it laughing at the unintentional joke. Vee soon yawned though, closing her only functional eye and sighing. Shelly slowly quieted back down, watching Vee closely as the other's breathing slowed and the pets came to an end. Shelly just huddled closer with a content smile, letting the other slowly sink into a laying down position in her sleep, keeping her close to herself so she didn't fall over again. Soon, Vee was just a little ball of a toon, sleeping moreso ontop of the fossil than the beanbag she had started on, the last item of hers that she kept on her at all times - her little yellow and green stegosaurus plush - was tight in her arms and her monitor was right against Shelly's side, using her as a pillow while she was half laying on her and half on the beanbag. Shelly just stayed curled up around the beanbag, eyes wide open, watching the show as it played on the movie screen while listening for any signs of intruders.
Protecting her little sunshine.
As she swore herself to do months ago, when she first twisted, and will continue to do until she was certain she was safe.
Nothing would take her sunshine away... And she was going to make sure of it. No matter what cost.
♡ I literally just sat down and started writing without really planning anything so excuse me if my synopsis is shit okay? Okay. I haven't written one shots in years give me a break lol
Tisha - as usual - was cleaning late at night, though for the first time in a long while she wasn't alone the entire night, as someone special to her snuck up on her and ended up helping her finally take a break. It's pure fluff man I love this a lot genuinely lol ♡
☆ This could literally be from any of my aus and it's just a one shot because I was bored so like... Idk what to put here 🤷♀️ ☆
✦ No tags because I never did this before but if you guys want me to tag you in my one shots too just lmk okay? Okay 👍✨ ✦

The night was cold and not really dark, just really cold. Most of the other toons on their floor were in bed already, and Tisha was quiet as she finished up her usual night time cleaning routine, shivering as she mopped the last bit of the floor she needed to on that floor. She was cold, yes, but she didn't mind, she could be in her room soon enough she supposed. Though she didn't notice that someone else had noticed, someone that she was close to - despite their massive differences.
"Tisha..? Girl you're shakin, get over here."
"Go away Brusha you're going to get paint on my floor..."
"I just cleaned myself up, girl. Now come here, you're cold." Brusha stated quietly, tapping her foot impatiently as she crossed her arms and stared deep at the tissue box that soon was glaring back at her. Though Tisha soon just dramatically sighed and put her mop in it's bucket and propped it against a wall, then walked right over to the paintbrush toon, not even looking at her as she approached.
"I'm almost done Brusha, I'm fine-"
"You are fine, I know. But we gotta look out for each other, so let me look out for you." Brusha softly replied as she knealt down, letting her soft side show as the two were currently alone together in the far end of the dormitory for the common background characters, a spot nobody would look right now. Tisha smiled at it, enjoying the softness of the other while it lasted, though soon was a blushing disaster as the other forced her into an overly familiar oversized sweater.
Brusha's own sweater.
"Brusha-"
"It's a spare, don't worry about it."
"My cleaning gloves are still on."
"Mhm, and it's now your sweater, deal with it yourself."
Tisha just giggled at that, staying as still as possible as the taller toon gently adjusted her sweater so it fit comfortably and the poor tissue box wasn't suffocated within the oversized turtleneck on accident. Once she was all settled though, Brusha moved away slightly, now just sitting on the floor in front of her. Tisha blinked at her, Brusha squinting back.
"I need to paint you in a sweater."
"Brusha..."
"What? You look adorable, and I want to capture that fluffy, baby look you have like this."
"I'm going to punch your face in." Tisha hissed as she turned away, crossing her arms as she tried to hide her blushing face behind her tissue bangs. Brusha just chuckled at that, bringing out her sketchbook and taking the pencil she always had in her pocket out just to sketch the other being like this.
"Ooooo I'm doing it right noooooow you gotta stop me~"
"Are you serious?!"
"Mmmhm."
"GIMME THAT!" Tisha yelled as her face turned an even darker shade of blue from pure embarrassment, and Brusha just calmly stood up and held it just out of reach from the other, smiling deviously as she did so.
"You love me, I know you do."
"Brusha come on!!"
"You know I'll just draw you again, you know you're my favorite to doodle."
Tisha paused at that, her mouth now open to say something again, but her mind... Blanked. She just stared at the other with wide eyes, her mouth slowly closing as Brusha knealt back down to her level and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I..."
"You know I've loved you, right? That... I've been drawing you so much because I admire you, right?"
"...No... I've always thought we were just... Really close friends... I thought Shelly would be the one to like me but... You know..."
"Ran off with Miss Know It All... I know. Though you can't lie, she's been softening up too."
"Like you have been... You seem more comfortable now, I'm proud of you." Tisha softly pointed out, giving in to her own tiredness from cleaning all day and gently leaning against Brusha, who just carefully brushed her bangs out of her face before gently holding her close.
"It's all because of you... Thanks for always being here for me, girl. Lemme be there for you right now, you're sleepy."
"You couldn't mop right even if you tried your best..."
"Bet?"
"Pfft- fine, bet. I'll love to watch you fail."
Brusha just honestly laughed that off as she scooped up the other toon like she was nothing, and after stealing her gloves off her hands, went right over and gently stole her cart of cleaning supplies and casually started cleaning up the last little area for her. Tisha just silently watched, huddled up against the other like a little kid huddled up against their mom, even though they were the same age. She was just short. It was oddly calming though, watching as the usually messy painter with her messy hair and paint stained long sleeve shirt cleaned just for her. Watching her focused gaze as she did her best to thoroughly clean as much as Tisha usually did, watching that content smile form every time she caught onto Tisha staring at her. Maybe... Maybe they really were more than just best friends with opposite hobbies... Maybe they really were each other's safe space after all, their space to just be themselves instead of locking in on meaningless tasks to shut out their real soft feelings inside, their comfort toon who was always right there to make everything feel... Right. Tisha sighed as she closed her eyes, resting her head on the other's shoulder contently. Brusha just chuckled at that, pretending she didn't notice- but they both knew she noticed.
"Brusha..?"
"Yup?"
"I hate you." Tisha whispered teasingly, smiling as she looked up at the other. Brusha stared at her for a moment, then chuckled as she just shook her head.
"Nah, you love me, admit it."
"I would if you kept yourself clean."
"Art is messy!"
"And tissues are clean, dummy."
"I'll always let you clean my room once I'm done painting, you know that."
"...I know... And I love cleaning your room..."
"And I love painting things for you... Even when you do tease me for it." Brusha softly replied, gently putting down the mop again just to give the toon in her arms a loving squeeze. Tisha just hugged her and squeezed her right back, the two smiling like doofuses in the dark area of the dorms, silently accepting their differences and just - existing together. They were definitely close, despite... Their very obvious differences, and they were okay with that.
"I love your stupid face, Tisha."
"I hate you more."
"Nah, you love me."
Tisha sighed at that, fake rolling her eyes as she genuinely smiled wide at the other, finally slightly nodding in agreement.
"I do love you... But I'll always hate your stupid face more, dummy."
♡ So I meant to make this read like a crack fic but it doesn't... Oops.
The genuine premise was just to make Bee... A bee... As a joke... But it ended up being pretty well written?? On accident?? I'm not even editing this shit to keep the joke feeling there...
It's just Vee as a bee toon taking a swim while nobody's looking bro I don't know how I made this so fun to read or anything bro help me 😭 ♡
❁ This is a joke fic based on my twisted au - Caretakers of Twisteds - which is made by me. Uh. It's not canon. At all. Maybe a different timeline? Dunno. ❁

It was just a seemingly normal night, a normal summer night with a warm breeze in the air, clear skies and a newly uncovered pool in the backyard. While it was indeed inflatable, they for some reason treated it as if it was an in ground pool instead, a permanent fixture in their weirdass backyard. Vee was the only one out, the only one who could ever see any of this, the real truth behind the meaning of Bee Swim.
A secret panel soon slowly opened, and the screen of the robot turned off. Soon, a little fuzzball of a creature came slowly coming out- about the size of a toon, if it were not fully aged up that is- about Toodles sized. The fluffy grey and green creature stretched like a cat for a good bit before shaking itself off, then shaking off their limbs, including the wings they've hidden under their striped fur.
Soon enough, the real reason Shelly called Vee "Bee" was obvious, as now a pistachio green and grey-ish green striped bee toon was standing in a very hidden place in the yard, fur matted from the sweat that built up inside of such a metallic suit. Their wings were slightly crumpled from such a squeeze, one antenna straight while the other was bent just like the original Vee's, their lime green eyes focused on the pool. The one reason they snuck out... She snuck out.
Bee wanted to swim.
It was going to feel really nice to get all the sweat off, to dive into the cold water and feel so refreshed. She looked around for anyone that could notice though, notice the dwarf very-definitely-not-twisted bee toon that was out, and sighed heavily when she was clear. It should be safe... Oh if only she ever learned how to use her wings. She glanced at her back for a moment at them... Oh if only... She turned back to the pool, the destination, then at her robot body. It was curled up in a spot nobody would think to look, looking like it was fast asleep. 'Good' Vee simply thought, then turned back to the pool, then very carefully and silently made her way over. Since she was so small and unable to fly however- she ran into a new problem, getting in. She could risk it and jump over the edge and hope it wasn't too big of a splash, she could also try her wings- I mean, she was supposed to be a bee main, no idea how they went from bee to robot though. She slowly climbed over the edge with her wings buzzing behind her, using all six of her limbs to try to slip into the cold water without a sound.
She climbed the edge a little, doing her best to stay up right on the edge, but soon fell in with a quiet splash and a slightly louder yelp. She soon however was doggy paddling in peace, her head up but her body mostly sank into the water- which was slowly turning brown from how unkempt the bee toon was. She didn't care, she couldn't care, it felt so good to stretch her arms and legs- especially the second set of arms she never used in the robot suit. She eventually found herself just floating on her back, drifting in the water with her eyes closed, her furry body now soaked- but cool and felt so much better. She was finally at peace, floating through the water and feeling the calm coolness of it all, the breeze keeping her from overheating even out of her robot body. The water made all the mats and uneasy itchy feelings in her fur go away, the soft drifting motion of floating in the water was easing her mind so she could finally re-
"Vee?!"
Oh shit.
The bee picked up her soggy- pistachio green fluff covered head and flicked her antennae as she looked over at the one who called for her, her heart racing when she saw exactly who she didn't want to see. The one she knew would accidentally blurt out this secret, the one who was honestly... Just really bad at secrets.
Gi.
Though she couldn't lie, it was funny seeing her outside in her rainbow glittery pajamas, though that soon also faded to dread when she looked at the doorway.
Shelly.
That's probably who sent her out there in the first place... Vee really hoped Gi would just find the robot and leave, just think she's asleep and let her exist.
"Vee-Bee... Come on dude wake up, Shelly wants you inside, it's gonna get cold." Gi called out to the seemingly sleeping robot, making Vee, who very much was not there, freeze as she sank into the pool, letting her feet touch the bottom before she silently sank deeper, becoming just a head above the water.
That's... Not good. At all. That means they'll find out she's not in there, that she was a liar and-
"Bee... Pool..?" Shelly called out quietly, the massive dinosaur soon shuffling out, which made Vee freeze up even more. Oh how was she going to get out of this one..? How was she going to escape? Explain this without them worrying? Without them feeling lied to? This wasn't supposed to be a secret, she just felt like she was forced to keep it one back at Gardenview and never knew how to fess up to the truth. That she wasn't Vee Version One... She was a bee.
Vee Bee was a much better fitting nickname for her than they could have ever expected.
Though surprisingly, instead of being upset when their eyes met, Shelly's gaze went from being scared and concerned, to the usual loving one when she saw Vee. She didn't ask any questions, she didn't even seem to mind that she was so tiny compared to her "usual" body, she just looked purely relieved to see her again.
"Gi... Ged a dowel."
"A towel?"
"An bwush... C... Cween bwush."
"A towel and a hair brush?" Gi questioned as she rushed back over to the door, looking at the fossil as she slowly did her little dinosaur waddle over to the pool and sat down nearby.
"Wes pweeze."
"I got it!"
The two didn't even blink when the door was heard closing behind them, they just stared at each other, Vee slowly floating through the water towards the fossil, who just stared back at her with huge, red eyes full of love.
"Shellybean..."
"Is okie Bee... No a-apowo-gi-shin needed."
"You know I never lied about any other part of me, right? About how you taught me how to feel? To accept myself? That... Even if I was stuck as a robot, I wouldn't have honestly minded too much after all?"
"Uh-huh, bud I also knew Bee was Bee. Das why I sdop sayin Vee."
"...Seriously..?" Vee grumbled quietly, going to sink down more, but she was stopped when Shelly gently cupped one of her fuzzy cheeks into her little toon hand, the bee blushing as she looked up at the... Even larger than before fossil that was tending to her so carefully and thoughtfully even though she was different now. Well... Physically different, physically also now cramped and sore and tired, but that didn't matter to Shelly. What mattered at the end of the day was that Vee was okay, and she was okay as a... Really small bee.
"Wai... Why is Bee so... Iddy biddy?"
"It was a malfunction with how I was made... I was pretty much made with symmetrical dwarfism, and then they were like "Vee would do better as a robot" so I was pretty much kinda... Made into one? But also not? Then the robot body twisted and well... We came here. Then I started sneaking out at night... Then I snuck out of both things at night... Then we got a pool and I started sneaking out to swim and-"
"We here."
"We're here." Vee nodded as she said that, slowly rising up from the water and holding up her main two arms, and soon Shelly had a very very soaked bee toon sitting between her two massive dino legs. Once Gi got the towel and brush, the gachapon just tiredly said her goodnights before she simply went inside to go to bed, which made Vee sigh in relief as she let Shelly gently dry her off with the towel and close her eyes.
"I'm sorry I keep making the pool water brown... I don't get to clean myself off as often as I like..."
"Is okie, Bee."
"I'm sorry I lied to you..."
"Chu had no woice, Bee."
"Choice?"
"Mhm!"
"Yeah... I guess I didn't... You know I'm not a kid, right?"
"Bee owder dan me."
"Okay so you do know, good. I... Also can't fly... I never learned how to, don't know if I would anyways. I think it's cuter when I climb your back to kiss your cheeks..." Vee casually mentioned quietly, yawning loudly as she let Shelly start brushing her out now that she was just damp, even holding her arm out so she could brush the fur on it as well when she was done perfectly fluffing the bee's face. Vee honestly didn't even know why she was being so meticulous about it since she knew it was just going to get ruined soon anyways, but it felt really nice for someone to gently pet her again, run their fingers through her actual fur and just... Touch her. The real her.
For Shelly though, she was trying so hard not to cringe as she looked at her hands, which were definitely stanining black from the dirt stuck under the topcoat of her fur. It was like petting a dirty dog even though it looked promisingly clean... It felt horrible, but the faces Vee made- the looks of pure content and comfort made the very gross feeling so worth it. So Shelly simply didn't say anything, she just kept slowly brushing her out, taking her time on every part of the bee she was allowed to brush out- which was surprisingly pretty much everywhere as Vee seemed to have full trust in her despite the fact that Shelly was a full on twisted just- tending to her needs. Then again, Shelly has existed with her as a twisted for... Who fucking knows how long, so she soon realized that this shouldn't be that big of a surprise anyways.
No... The real surprise was where she couldn't take care of her.
Shelly would've assumed it would've been near her stinger, which... Wasn't even a point at all, it was so rounded off it didn't look like one at all. She would've assumed her belly, or her sides, even her legs- but Vee was a purring mess resting against her during all of those.
No, it was her back, specifically near the base of her wings, that made Vee snappy. At first it was just a quiet "don't touch there", but it quickly turned into yelps and jolts away from the brush when Shelly accidentally got too close. It was... Pretty concerning, so Shelly gently checked that spot.
It was deeply red and irritated... Probably from being so pressed into her back for so long inside of the body she was forced to hide in. Swollen too, looked absolutely painful. Sounded like it too from the whimpers and yelps Vee let out whenever the fossil gently brushed the fur away with her fingers...
"Bee..."
"Is... It that bad..?"
"Mhm..."
"...Will I ever fly..?" Vee whispered out, looking up at Shelly as the dinosaur gently uncurled her naturally bent antennae for her with her finger, who just smiled warmly and nodded, planting a small kiss on the top of her fluffy little head.
"You wills Bee, I now chu will. Id'll be gread, okie? Bud righ now Bee, les ged you inside. We don godda dell mama or mom aboud dis righ now, bud we godda ged your back wooked ad, ok? Is nod gud."
"It's always hurting... It's always been aching riGHT THERE-"
"Sowwy..." Shelly whispered as she rubbed Vee's back from under her wings now, getting a slow nod from Vee as she just curled up against Shelly and closed her eyes.
"Could we... Stay outside a little longer..? I don't wanna go back just yet..."
"Mhm, is okie Bee."
"Thanks... For... For everything, Shelly. For taking care of me, for always loving me, never judging me, not even being mad at me for any of this. And for especially not telling anyone else about this... I'm sorry I kept you up for something stupid." Vee quietly said, nuzzling her face a little deeper into the hoodie Shelly was wearing, looking up at the night sky as she slowly reached over and grabbed Shelly's free hand.
"I love you."
"I love chu doo, Bee. No madder wha... I wuv chu doo. Bes wife ever!"
"I've been your only wife, dumbass."
"Sdill da bes."
"...You're the best wife for me too, Shells. Thank you..."
There was not a reply, but that was okay. The soft and quiet holding session was saying everything for them, the way they were touching and snuggled, the way Vee was being held so close yet so carefully. The soft and careful breaths they took, the way they just... Bonded. Vee soon was smiling, her bee wings softly buzzing as she soon raised one of her hands, pointing at a star. Shelly just stared at it...
It was just a normal looking star.
"Remember that time I said we had a star as we cuddled in your room..?"
Shelly just nodded once.
"That's it, right there. That's the star... I did math calculations and pinpointed where it would be from Gardenview, then I did more when I found out the distance between here and Gardenview and- that's it. That's our star." Vee explained softly, closing her eyes and putting that hand back on Shelly's wrist, making the fossil squeeze the hand she was holding just a little tighter. Shelly just sighed, but it was a very, very comfortable little sigh.
"Bee gud now..?" She asked quietly, but she didn't get a reply. The fossil soon looked back down and just saw Vee's fast buried deep into her hoodie, her little bee body curled right up against her as all four arms of hers clung to Shelly in some way. Shelly just watched her for a good minute, then turned her head back up to the sky, pulling her little bee just a bit closer with the arm Vee wasn't clinging to. She was just surrounded by the sounds of nature now, the crickets chirping, the frogs croaking from a nearby pond, the flickering of both fireflies and stars all around her. It was slightly cold, but she knew she would be alright, especially when Vee let out a very quiet snore as her wings let out tiny, comfortable buzzes here and there. Shelly couldn't lie, she didn't know Vee was actually a bee, she just said that to maybe comfort her a bit more. She also now was questioning the logic behind... Literally everything about this situation. Though she soon looked back at Vee, looked at how she was just curled up and cuddled up against her, at how her little body showed only peace and comfort, and smiled.
Eh... Screw logic... Not only were they toons- Vee was absolutely goddamn adorable like this. Even if this was the only time she'd ever see this... She wouldn't have minded.
No matter what Vee looked like - she was her little baby Bee, and that would never change.
Happy April Fools... I don't think this reads as a joke fic like intended.
