His body became completely stiff. He couldn’t for the life of him figure out what had gotten in to his usually sweet and (for the most part) all-together comrade. He didn’t peg her as a drinker, could this be a genjutsu perhaps? An incredibly unusual genjutsu, but, he couldn’t imagine the latter.

Kakashi put his hand to hers, ceasing her actions of coaxing him to come closer and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. He swallowed hard, trying to avert his gaze elsewhere, anywhere, from the currently awkward situation.

❝ I— ❞

He stopped, looking down at the girl, and couldn’t stop himself from shifting uncomfortably.

❝ Let’s just get you home. ❞

Slowly, Kakashi turned to face his teammate. Is this.. Drunken fist? No, there’s no fists involved. Is she just.. Drunk? Whatever the cause, Rin was acting extremely out of character and Kakashi’s patience was almost nonexistant after the day he’d had. Though, he couldn’t help but laugh behind his mask and shake his head.

❝ Hey little Mother, what exactly do you want to whisper in my ear? ❞

Silently scolding himself, he cringed. What in Gods name was going on here? And WHAT was he saying?
