I’ve noticed that especially in the tadc fandom , whenever the creator says something like "I wrote this with x,y,z in mind" the fandom kinda takes that as gospel and no other interpretation is valid. Like … you guys know death of the author exists, right? The creators intentions don’t matter and you can make whatever interpretations you want as long as you have evidence to back it up
#idk if this is as common in other fandoms#but I feel like that people need to stop treating everything gooseworx and VAs says like the word of god#this whole thing started with me thinking about when Alex Rochon said he tried to play caine's last words as guilt#and everybody treated it as fact#and would go around correcting others for not interpreting it the same way#tadc#the amazing digital circus#kakapothoughts
