To all the jax fans, I genuinely want you to tell me what likeable traits does jax have? I am not bashing Jax or saying that you can’t like her , I just sincerely want an explanation to why people find her appealing. And I don’t mean like she’s trans or her trauma, I mean actual personality that you like or admire about her

For example, I’d say that I really admire caine’s showmanship or that Ragatha is kind and empathetic to everyone around her etc

Caine’s characterization in ep 9 was disapointing and just how they handled his arc in general so im gonna rant about it a lil

I really hate the fact that Caine just suddenly gets revived and gets all buddy buddy with everyone.

First of, ARE WE JUST GONNA FORGET ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE TORTURED EVERYONE FOR DAYS?!? Like fr why is everybody playing dnd together with their abuser?!? Like I get that there was a timeskip and Caine probably became a better person or whatever, but like as a viewer the whiplash of going from Caine stabbing Ragatha with knives as the image of her abusive mother looming over her to yay friends happy yippee! in the span of 2 episodes is insane. This is why I say that tadc would’ve HEAVILY benefited from having more episodes because then we could actually see caine’s redemption for ourselves instead of the story going yup they’re friends now :D I love Caine and all, but he got left off the hook wayyy too easy. Like Zooble definitely should’ve screamed and berated him for all the shit he pulled in ep 8

And secondly, it feels like they kinda forgot that his whole thing is not understanding humans? And his selfish desperate need for validation? That keeps him from actually building a relationship with the cast as equals? It just feels like that after getting deleted, all these problems just disappeared. Obviously dying would make you reflect on your life but this literally something that he’s been struggling with for 20 years without making much progress and now it’s just solved. Overall his Realisation just felt really unrealistic to me and again, if tadc had more episodes then they would actually have him slowly coming to this realization, but they don’t.

I want to see him struggle, I want to see him fail, I want to see try and be better and keep falling back into the same old habits and decisions that lead him to die in the first place and most importantly I want to see him succeed.

Again, I don’t want them to kill Caine off forever, hes my favourite and him hanging out with the cast was very cute, but I feel like they just kinda threw in a super rushed redemption that actively cheapens his character and if they really wanted the make the last episode satisfying then they probably should’ve just left him dead and gave his screen time to Ragatha or something.

That ending was bad, not the worst thing I’ve seen, but like… what? THATS the thing they’ve been hyping up???

Generally speaking, I think one of my biggest gripes with tadc is that the cast don’t feel like a friend group. Like there’s really only jax + pomni and zooble + gangle that I would be able to consider them as friends and Ragatha and pomni’s relationship feels way too empty, We don’t get anytime to see them bond together or heck the conversation they apparently had at the end of ep 6 that made them all buddy buddy again so I don’t really count them as friends no matter how much the narrative wants me to believe so. Everyone just kinda exists in a shared space but they rarely interact with each other beyond the ‘average acquaintance’ stage.

Take a show like avatar the last air bender for example, everyone in the main cast has an relationship with each other, every character has a dynamic with another that gets explored. Name any two characters in the main five and I could tell you what they’re relationship is, what they think of the other and show you multiple scenes of them interacting. and yes I know atla has wayyy more episodes than tadc but my point still stands that the tadc cast just doesn’t have any connection with each other.

Even with Zuko and Toph for exemple, which I would say is the dynamic the least shown compared to everyone else still get to talk one on one during the ember island players, what does zooble and pomni get? Gangle and kinger ? Ragatha and zooble ? Zooble and zooble ?

I just wish these dynamics got more explored rather than pushed aside for another jAx Is sAD scene

I admire people who’s tragic favs are morally good. Cause like all my favs are terrible so I don’t feel bad being mean.Those people really do just have to watch their Blorbos suffer with no aftercare
