*Kakashi wakes up to a loud banging on his door late in the morning* Kakashi, groaning: Oh lord ... what now? I stayed up all night reading Icha Icha ... Kakashi: *stumbles to the door and opens it; is surprised to see Sasuke and Sakura standing there* Kakashi: K-kids? This is a surprise ... I didn't schedule training for us today, did I? Sakura: Nope! But we wanted to come over early and wish you a Happy Birthday, sensei! *leaps at him and hugs him, kissing his cheek* Kakashi: Birthday? It's not -- Sasuke, gruffly: It figures an old man like you can't remember dates. But yes, today is September 15th, definitely your birthday. Kakashi: Awww, my cute little students! Where's my hug, Sasuke? Sasuke: *pulls a kunai out of his pocket* Right here. Sakura: We also brought you a gift -- Sasuke: *goes into the hallway and steps back in with a squirming, tied-up Obito* Sasuke: Since my asshole cousin is too shy to ask you out, we're doing it for him. He'd like to take you to get some barbecue for lunch, then for a walk around the lake. Right, Obito? Obito: *blushes and nods, muttering something through the gag in his mouth* Kakashi, grinning: Can you leave him like that? He's much more agreeable this way. He-- *there's a sudden commotion in the hallway as Naruto and Rock Lee walk up, carrying a bound-up Gai between them* Naruto: Oi, Sensei -- Happy Birthday, old geezer! Me and Lee thought that for a present we could get Bushier-Brows Sensei to take ya to Ichiraku's, with us invited along of course, and then we -- Naruto: *sees Sasuke and Sakura already there with Obito* Sasuke: You're too late, Usuratonkachi. MY cousin is taking him for barbecue! Naruto: Goddamn it ... Rock Lee: No, this is good. We can have eating contests at each place! And whoever's "team" eats the most, that's who Kakashi-sensei has to permanently date! Sakura: Tell Gai-sensei to pack his bags, then; me and Sasuke-kun will out-eat you and Naruto for sure! Rock Lee, tears streaming down his face: This is the power of youth! A hot-blooded competition to decide our Senseis' love lives! Lets go! *the kids leave, taking Obito and Gai with them* Kakashi: Kakashi: I can't decide if this is the best, or worst, day of my life.
