This series is my doggy gift for our dear kind and talented @cool-thymus, who recently had a birthday 💛

Blisters: Kakashi says that Guruko’s saliva has healing qualities, but in fact he’s just enjoying the view of Obito squirming bc his feet are ticklish.

It’s on me: Bisuke loves all the dog biscuits Obito buys him, and brings him human sweets as a thank you later. They both gain weight from this game… and both have to lose it.

Hidden Talent: Bull loves some quality grooming! And Obito is good at it.

Sleepover: there was only one futon, and SHIBA TOOK IT! The nerve!

Daifuku: Pakkun is just being naughty xD

Day 7 | Catastrophe!

I hated how this looked as a drawing and the sketch was frustrating. I almost didn’t paint it because all I could see were the flaws, but I’m happy I finished it. The paint mostly redeemed it.

Here’s what I call the strawberry lemonade layer on this one:

Really this portion of it is what made me decide not to give up on it. Drawing through a crease is hard. 😐

I saw a bunch of pictures of bulldogs sleeping with their tongues out so I had to draw Bull like that.

Alright then, Just Kakashi. Another very important question: which of your ninken was the cutest as a puppy?

Aa well, I'm fairly certain that all of them were cute in their own right. I met the majority of the pack, when they were already grown and headed by my father, so I didn't get to see them as pups. Ninken are supposed to be partners in battle, so pups don't get to contract or be summoned; not until their skills have been honed and they will be deemed an asset, rather than a liability in a fight. With that said, there is a long standing tradition between the Hatake and the Inu spirits they summon where the clan head will introduce any new offspring to his pack and the pack will introduce any of their new pups to the clan head. As such, I did get to meet some puppies, even if they don't necessarily form part of the main summoning pack at present. The closest we have to a puppy is Bisuke, and I can already feel his proverbial whine through the veil.
