Help us reach our crowd-funding goal
There are 20 days left to help us reach our crowd-funding goal. We really need your help to continue to fund the workshops in order for our knit graffiti installation to be made. The piece will be a colourful, spectacular welcome to the Jamaican and American teams to Birmingham. Please donate, help us and participate in something very unique to the city.
More information on how to donate can be found here. Even a pound will help us towards our goal.
The pop-up shop in the Pavilions was busy over the bank holiday weekend with lots of people visiting to find out more about the project and have a knit. It was great to see people starting to cast on and contribute to the piece. Why not come and pick up some wool and take part?
We are also delighted to have been featured on the Design Week blog. You can read the piece here.
K2TOG - Knit 2 Together
This summer Sara Fowles and Stitches and Hos aim to cover with knitting the columns on the outside of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to commemorate the visit and stay in Birmingham of the Jamaican and American Olympic teams. A palette of six colours (red, white, blue, green yellow and black) will be used to create the installation. The colours are taken from both team’s national flags and are the same colours used in the Olympic rings logo.
