i've noticed you shooting a lot more subject portraits compared to some of your earlier work w/ urban landscapes + settings. was gaining experience thru landscapes and transitioning to portraits initially your intent? do you still shoot landscapes?
No, it wasn’t initially what i was going for. when i used to do street/urban landscape stuff, it was only because it was the easiest (at the time) thing for me to do.. then i realized i enjoyed taking photos of people in environments instead. Going from landscape>people allowed me to learn a lot of things design wise as well. I think the transition is a pretty common one with a lot of photographers these days, especially here in the city. I think that’s partly because theres so much more character to a photo, so much more emotion when a human element is added. There’s only so much you can do with landscapes after a while.I don’t really shoot landscapes anymore. But I think that’ll change in the coming months.
Do you watch Community by any chance?
That's my show. I binged watched it on hulu all 5 seasons for like 2 weeks.
