This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Everything is changing this year career-wise, and though I am looking forward to it, I will need to sacrifice a few commodities of my life. I remember that the first card I drew from today's deck, Absolute Affirmations, was "I am focused on the present". I journalled it way before I could even guess about any changes coming my way, and it stuck since, because it's been incredibly helpful.
I think this is why the Absolute Affirmations deck is so dear to me, even though my logic would dictate that another Kaleidadope deck, the Kaleidadope Tarot (review here), would be more up my alley. But there is something so clear, so direct, so abundant and so on point about the artwork, the affirmations and the messages of these 44 cards that set them apart and make them shine! They have been designed with the intention of manifesting the life of your dreams & keeping your vibration high, and are a result of the collaboration between Kaleidadope & Blake Banner, LLC.
The artwork is very modern, colourful and straightforward. It delivers clear messages just by itself, and it’s easthetically pleasing. I think this more relaxed art style works brilliantly with affirmations, as it laves aside paraphernalia in order to get straight to the point. It's a "let's get down to business" type of energy. While the affirmations are written in first person (as they are intended to actually be repeated for yourself, mentally or aloud) the messages are in the second. These messages can be explanations, suggestions, new perspectives and support among others. They are so powerful that I believe they are best used one at a time, or in conjunction with other decks.
There's no companion booklet as the cards are self-explanatory. However, there's a guide card with instructions. The design of the deck itself is gorgeous, with extraordinary golden marbled backs, gilded edges, silky matte finish and a magnetic flip top box.
Absolute Affirmations is an extremely on point, supportive and no-nonsense deck. The modern, bright and simple artwork is fantastic for the kind of work that it is intended for, and even if the words weren't under them they would be clear enough to communicate on their own. I feel that the messages are very powerful, so it's great for one card pulls, or as a companion for other decks (like the Kaleidadope Tarot!). Make sure you head over Krystal's site and check not only this, but her other decks (there are new ones!).
