ok so Kalgan...

I had honestly expected, both from the previews and from knowing that Kalgan is a pleasure planet, that this was where we would find Brother Dude lounging around eating his pomegranates. I know that there were a lot of different plot threads to exposit in this first episode and they almost certainly didn't have time to show the pleasure parts of the world but it certainly doesn't look very pleasurable just from what we've seen on-screen.

I have mixed feelings about this overall. Like okay, we had to get introduced to the Mule somehow, and having him give an evil little speech works well enough, I think I'm just still kinda meh on the new casting of the character. Like, he's way too conventionally attractive for a character whose whole deal was "people are so mean to me because I'm skinny and have a big nose and therefore I'm going to rule the entire galaxy because I hate all of you meanies".

I really liked Bellarion and his fancy uniform and I'm sad that we won't get to see any more of him. rip warlords I guess.
