“Yes,” she said and huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. It wasn't that she didn’t trust him. She did. He had earn her trust, but there was just something wrong about this plan.
“And why is that,” Elijah asked calmly. Katherine rolled her eyes, knowing that he would see even though he pretended he didn't.
“Because every town we go through, we get closed to Mystic Falls.” that was what was wrong with the plan. She had spent 500 years running. She faked her death, hurt people she called friends and killed. So it just didn’t feel right for her to be willing going back to Mystic Falls. “And that means closer to Klaus, who if you have forgotten wants me dead.” This thin line formed across Elijah's mouth like it always did when they talked about Klaus. Elijah knew Katherine noticed his small expression of emotion, he also knew she thought it was about Klaus. It wasn't that, the thought of his brother didn't fill his head with emotions but every conversation about Klaus ended with the same thought. The thought of Katherine dying.
“I want you to stay away from Klaus,” he said sternly after a moment. Katherine turned to look at him. She could see the side of his emotionless face as he stared at the road. When he said things like this thought, no she knew that he cared about her. It was just hard to believe that if he truly cared he wouldn't be make her go back. Elijah cleared his throat. “And you know, you should probably stay away from those Salvatore boys too,” he said, trying to seem nonchalant about the whole thing. Katherine opened her mouth and then closed it again. See! He was taking her to her death and yet was worried about her games with the Salvatore boys, and on top of all of that she was letting him.
“Fine,” she huffed, throwing her legs up onto the dashboard. “But I’m bored and hungry, so lets stop.” Elijah looked down, a small smile on his face. She really was predictable.
Elijah picked up his glass from the bar and turned around to see Katherine batting her eye lids at some human boy. He sighed, his grip tightening on his glass without meaning too. He couldn't leave her alone for a moment. He walked slowly over to her.
“Katerina,” he said wearily.
“I thought you said your name was Katherine,” the boy asked. Katherine turned to glared at Elijah before turning back to face the boy.
“It is,” she said sweetly, smiling at him.
“Then why did he call you Katerina?” She opened her mouth to say something and then sighed, closing her mouth.
“She had to change her name because someone is trying to kill her,” Elijah said calmly and Katherine scoffed, staring open mouthed at him. The boy looked at the two of them with a bewildered look and then scoffed, walking away from them.
“Werido,” he muttered. Katherine turned on Elijah, staring at him with daggers in her eyes.
“What was that,” she growled, placing her hands on her hips. Elijah sat down at the bar table, staring at her for a moment. It wasn't that he had intended to make her mad but she did look insanely cute when she was.
“He didn’t seem like your type,” he breathed, taking a sip from his glass. Katherine scoffed. If he was going to let her die he could at least let her have fun. She watched him take a sip from his glass and a smirk quickly played across her face. She slid into the sit next to him and giggled, running her hand along his thigh.
“If I didn’t know better, Elijah. I would say you where jealous,” she breathed, walking her fingers up his inner thigh and smiled up at him. Elijah didn't say anything for a moment, knowing she was right. He didn't like the idea of sharing her. Though he would never admit it to her.
“I don't do that Katerina,” he said, taking her hand off his leg. He took a deep breath in, the feeling of her hand against his thigh blocking any other thoughts. “Though I do not understand your desire to bed them, before you kill them,” he said, placing his glass on the table. Katherine stared at him for a moment and smiled.
“Because it's fun,” she breathed before taking his hand in her and leading him out of the bar.
“Katerina, where are we going,” he breathed. The touch of her hand against his, sending shivers down his back as he following after her.
“Would you stop calling me that,” she hissed, leaning against the alleyway wall. Katherine gave his hand a little tug and Elijah fell into her. The feeling of Elijah's body against hers made every part of her body caught on fire at once.
“Stop calling you what, Katerina,” he breathed, running his nose down her neck. Katherine's legs turned to jelly as he planted a kiss on her neck. His hands ran up the outside of her dress, hitching it up as he went. He planted soft kisses down her neck and across her collar bone. A gasp slipped from Katherine's mouth before she could stop it and she heard Elijah chuckled.
“You. You know exactly what,” she managed to breath. “I changed my name for a reason,” she said a little more sternly this time. He pulled down to look at her.
“Don't pout Kat,” he said, running his hand down her cheek. She smiled at his cockyness and the feel of his hands against her. She secretly loved it when he took charge like this, even when it was at her expense. With a flash, she pinned him against the wall, baring her fangs as she did.
“I don't pout,” she growled. Elijah just chuckled, cupping her face in his hands. She smiled softly as he run his thumb along her bottom lip.
“You do, but your gorgeous either way,” he breathed. Katherine linked her hands with his and pinned them against the wall. When he didn’t fight back, she let them drop to his sides.
“Then maybe you should give me what I want,” she whispered, running her arms up his chest before linking them around his neck.
“And what exactly do you want,” he asked, smirking at her.
“Have a guess,” she hissed, planting a kiss against his jaw. The feeling of her soft lips against his skin made him loose himself for a moment. He knew she doubted him and doubted the plan he had that involved them going back to Mystic Falls, but he knew in these moments that she wouldn't leave. She was his. With a flash she was pinned against the wall as Elijah's lips crushed against hers. She locked her legs around his hips as he pinned her against the wall. Her tongue fought against his for dominance.
“Hotel,” he breathed down her neck, planting kisses as he went. Katherine hissed as he slide his hands up the back of her dress and ripping it from her body.
“Car,” she managed to breath, already undoing the bottoms of his shirt and throwing it to the side, before his lips were back on her. Both silently agreeing that this was the best road trip they had ever been on.
