Sorry you're sick, Scottie. Do you need anything? I could make you some kickass soup?
I’m actually not in any pain, it’s just my voice that’s gone. But you’re still welcome to come over!

You’re in LA right now?
Sure am, I spoke at UCLA this morning/afternoon for work-- I’m here until tomorrow night; wanna get breakfast or something in the morning?
A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIEND ➝ KALIYANA
Ali had been confused about a lot of things these days, but none more than her relationship with her ex. When CeCe left her house after their more recent breakup, Ali had convinced herself that it was time to move on. For a minute there, she actually believed that she could. She was mad at CeCe for leaving that day, but what right did she have to feel that way? Her ex had every reason not to trust her. It was Ali’s fault that hadn’t. Still, that didn’t stop Ali from feeling like her ex was giving up on her. She didn’t stay mad long, though. She couldn’t. When CeCe was suddenly texting her out of the blue, Ali had to text back.
She couldn’t stay mad when all she really wanted was for her ex to be happy. It seemed like her being happy was rare these days. Ali knew she was a big part of why that was. There wasn’t anything she could do, though. At least she didn’t think there was. The whole situation was a mess. One she didn’t know how to clean up. For the first time in her life, she wasn’t thinking about her own feelings. She was thinking about someone else’s. Well, mostly. She had her own feelings about things, she just didn’t know how to express them to CeCe. Not when she was scared to hurt her. Especially with her father dying. She had enough to worry about with Ali complicating things. That’s why she needed her oldest friend with her. She knew Kalissa would listen to her.
Kali was someone Ali could always depend on. They’ve known each other their whole lives, so of course she felt like she could talk to her. She was someone Ali could be honest with, which was rare in itself. Aliyana had trouble when it came to being honest. She hoped that having her there would make her feel a little better. That she just needed to get her feelings out, even if she didn’t know what to do about them. That’s what she was thinking of when she heard someone knock on the door. She practically jumped off her couch and ran to the door, swinging it open to greet her friend. “I’m so glad you’re here.” She said, wrapping her arms around the other girls. “Thank you for coming.”
Text: Hey
[TEXT]:
Hey, what’s up? Are you okay?
Text: Could you please check on Scott? He's upset and he's drinking. I don't think he should be alone.
[ text ] Can do! I haven’t been away from him too much today, but I did step out to go on a run with some friends from college. [ text ] I’ll keep an eye on him.

I wish I had a time machine that could take us back to high school so our friendship could have started earlier than it did because filling those missing years with memories would made what we have even more perfect.
