We believe art should be shared, that themes are open to interpretation, and that everyone who comes to a gallery event should feel like they have some purpose to being there. For that reason, we started Kameraoke as a community art event. Now we are bringing it back, and including photowalks. Our first photowalk is this Sunday, March 15, 2026. It begins at 14:00 at Abeno Hoop in Tennoji. The check point will be at Shinsekai Kushikatsu Ittoku (いっとく) Annex. The end point will be Absinthe Underground. Here are the themes explained in more detail. They can also be found at our IG Kameraoke page https://www.instagram.com/kameraoke/. Submissions should be sent to https://www.donmag.org/deadlines-events/kameroke Prints made from submissions can only be picked up at Absinthe Underground on March 29.
Congratulations to the winners at Kameraoke 2015! They are:

Thank you also to the people who came and voted for them. The organizers would also like to express their gratitude to all the volunteers who came and along with the DJs and live jazz improvisers made the Local Eyes event an unforgettable sight!
I don't know what it is about Philips but two of them are missing from this list. We will modify this on the day. Hope to see you at Pinebrooklyn. Sunday, 1pm to 9pm, June 21.

Insane happenings: As we prepare our pecha kucha presentation on Kameraoke for the next PKnight held in Osaka on November 29th, we were reminded of this particular experience. Isaac Erenfeld (top photograph; left of centre) photographed this outlandish and otherwise anonymous Halloween reveller months before. At the Kameraoke exhibition, he meets the very same man who recognizes himself in this photo on display! Amazing.
