Hi Bunny! I wanted to ask what do you think about the costumes+makeup+hair regarding the rotten four and the rest of the cast during the movies? Like, what do you think about each era (=movie) and which one is your favourite? I personally like all of them, but the Descendants1 outfits are my absolute favourite. Carlos's especially. ❤ Thought I liked Mal's hair in the third the most. What do you think?

I have thoughts mostly on the hair and a few of the outfits, but I’ll break this down by movie and by character:
So @inickel once said that she felt like the original Descendants looked like a cartoon that had come to life and I love that statement. The bright colors, outfits that reflect personalities, intense designs, it’s all so eccentric and detailed that it blows my mind that these aren’t animated costumes, some designed and made these.
- The original film is my second favorite in terms of Mal’s outfits. A lot of her leather looks uncomfortable and hard to move in, and a lot of what she wears has like...an ‘elderly’ vibe about it, but nothing beats the horrors of what she wears in D3.
- her outfit for her date with Ben is my all time favorite
- My favorite of her hair. I like the shade of purple and the curls.
- My favorite of her make up too. I think the later movies do such a hard job of making her look older. Granted, Dove is 19ish in the first film and 23ish in the third, but it feels like this is the one where her make up matches the look of a 16 year old.
- She has one jacket with super low/baggy sleeves that I hate, but other than that, I adore her outfits in D1. Probably my favorite.
- I think her eye make up is a little too heavy, but this might represent how Evie was taught to always be pretty and prioritize her appearance. The more natural look she gets later could be her growing in confidence and not hiding her face.
- I LOVE her curls too, but this shade of blue is not my favorite
- this is by far my favorite of his hair. I love the curls. So much. (I guess I have a thing for curls??)
- I also love his outfits, but they aren’t my favorite of the franchise. I think a lot of his jackets are either too ‘bulky’ and heavy looking or too simple for the son of a fashion designer.
- Though, I love anything he wears with spots and I think D1 is the only film which that happens
- my favorite for Carlos’ make up. I love his eye liner. He’s cute without it, but the effect it has on his eyes is a wonderful touch. I also think D1 is the only film with noticeable make up for him, so this is my favorite
- I love all of his vests, but that’s because I’m a slut for Booboo Stewart’s arms. So nice.
- I’m indifferent to his hair, but that’s just because I like the longer length in the next films.
- I don’t ever see noticeable make up on him. His face is naturally beautiful.
- favorite for Chad, Doug and Ben’s hair.
- favorite for Lonnie and Audrey’s outfits
- least favorite for everything about Jane
- favorite for Belle and Beast though
- looking at each film, I don’t think there are really any outfits of Mal’s that stand out to me, but I like these the best.
- Her short sleeve Isle look is probably my favorite for hers of the film
- not a fan of this hair, style or color. But I do like the story behind it, of how she bleaches her hair to better fit with Auradon and then tries to go back to her Isle roots. I think that little detail is one of my favorite things about Mal in the series
- not a fan of this make up either, specifically her eyes
- probably my favorite for her outfits, tied with D1. They look more comfortable and more mature
- love her short sleeve Isle look too
- probably my favorite for her make up too. She tones down the eye make up and her foundation is always great
- I like her hair a lot too, but I wish we had more of her curls!
- I really enjoy more of his outfits, though they are a lot darker in tone and color compared to D1. Still, the styles are cute and more mature (though I dunno if I like that necessarily?). Probably my favorite in terms of his outfits
- really enjoy his Isle outfit too
- nothing compares to his D1 curls
- nothing really stands out to me in his outfits for D2. They look heavy.
- love the longer hair, though it’s not my favorite
- least favorite everything for Fairy Godmother
- favorite outfits for Chad. I love his hair too.
- Sea Three are cute, but they upstage everyone in D3
- big fan of Ben’s cotillion outfit
- I dislike most of her appearance in D3
- Her outfits look ‘grandmother’ish and what doesn’t look old, has a very weird style?
- I really don’t wanna talk about her D3 outfits
- second favorite of her hair. I love that they brought her curls back!
- I personally feel like her make up is too mature for a 17/18 year old, but she was also supposed to be old enough/mature enough to get married
- not a fan of the red in her outfits. Very weird splash for her normally blue appearance
- I hate most of what he wears in D3
- His Isle outfit, the one that is mostly white, makes him look like an astronaut. I miss his colors
- kind of like his suit at the very end. What a nice way to see Cameron’s final portrayal of a Disney character
- we do not speak of this hair
- not a fan of his D3 outfits
- but his suit at the end, the dark one with the dark maroon shirt, has me drooling. My all time favorite for him
- favorite of hair. I have a weakness for Booboo in buns and half-up-dos
- favorite of Dizzy’s everything
- favorite of Fairy Godmother too
- Uma and her crew KILL IT!
- do not care for Audrey’s hair or outfits in this one. No thank you
- probably my favorite for Ben
- D1 is m favorite for Auradon kids
- D2 is my favorite for the Core Four
- D3 is my favorite for the Sea Three
