Late to reading Komui’s discussion corner, but some interesting points:

-I love the reminder that Kanda is pretty in-canon as well as to the fandom and he’s kind of an airhead about it.

-Cross and Tiedoll arguing like two dads about their sons just hits my feels.

-Kanda kind of admitting he’d lose a fight against Lavi if he fought seriously is nicely self-aware.

-Scratch that Allen and cross argue like a married couple.

-I also feel like Kanda was daydreaming 90% of the time.

-Dr. Tiedoll, psychologist.

-Bookman brains are basically pain mush.

-Link is Allen’s house-husband.

Hoshino is such a gift.

I wanted to see how much progress I’ve made in a few years. I really like the new designs.

2019 - 2021

Just caught up on D.Gray-Man! I've pretty much forgotten what the recent chapters are about so I had to re-read the last 15 chapters or so again.

Here are some things I love! (Spoilers ahead for those who aren't caught up!)

- Kanda just straight up 'killing' Apocryphos with his thighs. Iconic.

- Link is more slender than I thought he was, I think the coats he wear tends to pad him out a bit. He still looks ready to kill even in his boxers.

- Zu Mei Chang and his reaction when Kanda touches him and he sees the lotus. When I think about the sadness and pain Kanda and Alma has gone through, it's bittersweet.

- Also when Kanda drinks his Innocence from Leenalee's hand, you see Komui's 'protective brother' angered face and Bak's angered face, which is quite hilarious.

- Kanda getting drunk and consequently becomes more rowdy during his search for Allen. Also his bewilderment at his hangover the next day makes me laugh but when he says it didn't use to affect him, oh man.

- Man, the art for D. Gray-Man has improved by so much and I'm so happy for the mangaka (I feel weird calling people sensei even online so.. Idk)

- Timcampy!??? No!

- Also Johnny is a great friend. He's the one who gets Allen back from being the 14th and I just. Pls appreciate Johnny.

- Where is Lavi????? I think the last time I read D.Gray-Man was a couple years back and he's still not in the manga now. DDDD:

- I went back to see which chapter he was in last because I got curious. He was in chapter 207 and after that, chapter 225. Perhaps after the current flashback of Allen's past, we'll get to find out what is in the mansion and also what happened to Lavi and Bookman.

- yesss, Kanda as a general. I'm so proud of him. Also you see how Tiedoll is so patient with him, and I like this relationship between mentor and pupil.

Got my new wig for Kanda from D.Gray-man!!!! The outfit is still old so my group is planning on remaking all of ours. I'm so excited to cosplay him again and have a group too!~
