"That better not be your blood," Kevin says when he walks into their dorm room and sees Andrew washing red from his hands in the kitchen sink.

"It's not," says Neil, and Kevin starts — he hadn't even seen him, cocooned on the couch holding something to his neck — an ice pack?

It clicks into place, an idea so absurd Kevin nearly cricks his neck as he jerks his head back to Andrew.

"You bit him?"

"It was my idea," Neil pipes up.

"That's not — I mean, obviously —" Kevin splutters.

"Kevin's just jealous," Andrew says, drying his hands and dropping the towel on the counter to sour later.

"You've only drank from me once and said you'd never do it again." He rounds on Neil. "How did you get him to agree?"

Neil shrugs one shoulder under the blanket. "I asked."

Kevin scoffs and crosses the small kitchen to yank open the refrigerator door harder than necessary and put away his leftovers from dinner with Coach (Dad? No, still too weird).

He turns back toward Andrew, who's now leaned over Neil, checking the bandage on the small wound on his neck.

"What would you give me for it?" Kevin demands.

Andrew straightens, apparently satisfied with the dressing, and clicks his tongue.

"Oh, Kevin. I don't have anything you want."

"We both know that's not true,” Kevin says, but Andrew’s face is impassive.

"Practice with us," Neil says suddenly.

Andrew levels him with a bored look but doesn't say anything. Kevin wants to press, but knows better by now.

Finally, after staring down Neil for what seems an age — even after all this time, Kevin still feels they have some secret language that he'll never quite be fluent in — Andrew turns his gaze on Kevin.

“Once a week.”

Kevin startles, hardly believing he’s won so easily.

“For which?”

“Both,” Neil says, when Andrew ignores the question and instead heads for the door. He stops on his way past Kevin and shoves a finger in his chest, almost pushing him backward.

Andrew glares up at him, and Kevin meets him halfway on instinct. Andrew’s kiss is half teeth.

“Junkies,” Andrew mutters, and Kevin glances over his head at Neil, who’s grinning.

“You like it,” Neil says, and Andrew doesn’t argue as he puts his teeth to Kevin’s neck.
