aftg scenario except Neil is Spider-Man!
Aaron and Andrew's deal was over and Neil was forced to switch bedrooms.
It made perfect sense. Aaron could invite Katelyn to his room without worrying about his brother's opinion. Neil could spend more time with Andrew now that they shared a room.
Neil was in PANIC.
After only a few months of living with Matt, he had already discovered his secret. It was impossible to keep such secret from someone you shared a room with. Luckily, he took it well and even offered to help, calling himself "the guy in the chair" and assisting him remotely with his laptop. But that was just Matt. How would Andrew and Kevin react?
He didn't want to hear them hissing about his martyr complex or how it could affect his performance on the court, so it had to remain a secret. No matter what.
And maybe Neil was worrying for nothing because Andrew had clearly already connected the dots.
It wasn't easy, as Neil had an excuse for everything. When he disappears during the day, he was just running around campus. When he disappears at night, it was just to get some fresh air. Every injury had a justification. Accidents happened in scrimmages.
However, the excuses started to make less and less sense the more he kept repeating them. Most of the foxes might not have paid much attention, but Andrew (who remembered every little thing he said) wasn't going to let it go unnoticed.
Andrew had thought several times about intervening. He had the opportunity to do so while their deal was still in place. However, he couldn't bring himself to do it, not when he trusted Neil and knew he was capable of saving a city and still coming back in one piece.
On the other hand, Kevin had no idea. With his eyes always on the court, he'd never paid much attention to Neil's strange behaviour. It didn't affect his performance, so why would he care? Or at least, that was what he thought until Neil stumbled through the door at 3 A.M, clutching his stomach and barely able to stand. His suit was still on, blood dripping from the sides, a grimace on his face and tears in his eyes.
Andrew reacted before him, catching Neil before he fell and quickly sitting him on the couch.
Kevin didn't even have time to process the fact that his striker was Spider-Man. He called Abby, holding his phone between his shoulder and cheek as he helped Andrew strip Neil of his costume.
Andrew quietly brainstormed excuses to tell Abby while Kevin hid the suit under the couch.
There was support, protectiveness, and a promise to keep his secret in their silence, and Neil couldn't be more happy about it.
