The Elementalists Fanfic
Andrea sighed as she stared at her homework. Her brain was having trouble processing the words and she couldn’t make heads or tails of the work. There were just too many things lingering on her mind as she set down her pencil and began to massage her wrist. The Pender Pals would kill her if she continued to overwork herself.
She plucked up her phone and moved to her bed. It was fall break and she was alone for the first time. At least, she figured she was alone. The only person that she knew would be around was her twin and she didn’t feel like bothering her with all her issues.
Penderghast has wonderfully soft beds and she melted into her comforters as she tried to drown out her sorrows with music. As she got lost in the tunes, she flexed her fingers and began to recount the various hand motions that Atlas taught her for some Moon Att spell to get a good night sleep.
In reality it was some sort of blend of various attunements but she couldn’t exactly remember at the moment. At the moment, she just stared. It if wasn’t shadows haunting her dreams, then she had strange visions.
She was warm. It was impossible for her not to feel warm but this was a familiar and almost friendly like warmth as she laid out in the grass. If she was lucky, Neither Esme or Nome would find her yet and she’d have time to relax.
The wind rushed loudly and she turned to see a familiar face next to her.
“Kane!” She tossed her arms around him. He smelled of the sea and everything sweet and good. He pulled her in close and for a long moment, everything was right for them.
“I’ve missed you.” He said, kissing the top of her head.
The Jester King was almost always busy with his followers and she was busy with her many duties as the Sun Source. As she almost got lost in her thoughts, he tilted her chin up and kissed her. “Starlight, be with me here now. Please? I want to make the most of this time together before one of them finds us,” His voice was soft and almost pleading as he brought her into another kiss.
The sun warmed and the wind blew hard, and she was brought out of the vision. Andy sat up in bed, rubbing at her face to try to scrub the thought from her mind. She knew that her mother was the woman that she saw in the visions.
The man though?
She didn’t know at all. There was something awfully familiar about him and she just couldn’t place it. She pulled herself up, making her way over to her desk. “I must have something here..I know I’ve seen something here..” She mumbled as she yanked open the lowest drawer. As she yanked the drawer open, she fell on her ass.
A burst of air smacked her in the face but with a twist of her hand, the air was redirected quickly. After the air died down, something landed in her lap.
It was a picture. The same picture that her and Atlas had put together when they finally reunited. It was them as babies with their parents holding them. Her mother was cradling her against her chest and Atlas was being cradled by who she could assume was their dad.
Then it hit her.
That man from the vision..was their father.
