Okay, imagine if, in a human AU, Kaneki's squad went to a restaurant. Now, imagine Shu getting distracted while talking to Ken, and Banjou deciding to prank him by telling one of the waitresses that it's Shu's birthday (even if it's not). They bring a cake over and start singing to him, and Shu gets so confused while everyone else trying their best to hide their laughs (they don't do a good job) -DA (they explain the joke to him when they go home; shu is not amused)
