Kam’tun looked up from the flowers he inspected in the Silvermoon market. As to where the voice was coming from, he wasn’t sure. So back to the flowers he went.
“Big guy, I’m talkin’ to you!”
He swiveled again, and this time saw a suave little blonde Goblin man sitting at a booth behind him. The Goblin wiggled a finger to summon him, and naturally the naive Orc made his way over.
“Is... there something I can help you with?” Kam’tun scratched his beard and clung tight to the basket in his arms. Kannandra had told him... well, multiple times now; don’t trust a Goblin. But just as much as he shouldn’t trust Goblins, he shouldn’t be let alone in the city.
“Well, I just saw you lookin’ at flowers there. There a special lady you’re buyin’ em for?”
“I- uh.” The big orc man looked down at the sunflower in his hand then at the Goblin, who now had a cigar lit and smoking. “Well, I do have a special lady, yes. But these flowers are for me.”
“Tsk tsk,” the Goblin shook his head. “Wrong answer, pal. You popped the question yet?”
“Uh... no, I did not ask if she wanted flowers.”
And the two exchanged awkward stares.
“Kid... you’re not the smartest, are you?”
Kam’tun just shook his head.
“Look. You gotta ask her to marry you- you orcs got mates, yeah?”
Now Kam’tun nodded.
“Elves have spouses. Wives, husbands. You like this gal, yeah?”
Another nod.
“You don’t want her to leave you for some other guy, do you?”
A scared head shake.
“Then you gotta go find her a big rock, get down on one knee, and pop that question. Ask her to marry you. Now, if you need the perfect rock for the occasion-” Just as the Goblin opened his jacket to show off an array of counterfeit diamonds, Kam’tun was gone and running out of the city.
