Lately, I've felt like I've lost my muse and although I want to write I have no motivation or drive like I usually do to make it worth reading. It takes a vacation now and then but never for this long; going on three weeks. I was wondering - since I've seen you write so often and your work makes me look like a literary potato - what do you do to keep your muse around? How do you make it come back if it goes away for a while?
[Awwww, I'm sure your writing is amazing, ok? Don't sell yourself short :) And believe me, I've had so many days where I have had no drive to write, or a bad mood spoiled my muse, or quite simply...I just wanted to sit around and game all day rather than get to drafts. I feel you there. But on days where I'm determined to write, sometimes it's as simple as getting inspired by all of the amazing partners/writers I follow myself. Or in worse cases, I just decide to take time off my blog for myself and eventually my drive to write returns, just from things I'm doing other than writing. I know it might be discouraging because your drive doesn't immediately come back, but it's important not to rush yourself and take your time when regaining a muse. But most importantly, just keep in mind that if you truly love what you are RPing, that your muse will always exist, no matter how slow it is in returning.
