I know they wanted to save as many people as they can but my personal opinion is that the bunker only could hold that many is to accommodate an fluctuating population.

Yeah, the way I see it is that you should only save as many people as the bunker can support. Now, do I think Oct*via ever thought she would have to murder people who wouldn’t become cannibals? No. And do I think she would have gone back in time and let less people into the bunker if she’d known just how bad things would get? Yes. But do I think this somehow excuses her after being responsible for the deaths of 400 of her people and a third of the bunker’s population? No. She was told the bunker could only hold a certain amount of people and was aware there could be consequences otherwise, and she ignored them. And yes, she was originally told that 1200 people would be fine for five years, however, given that they had no clear way out of the bunker, she was advised by people who shared the same views as Kara to not let that many people in. It’s not smart to not give yourself any room for error, no matter what the situation is. You need breathing room. If there had been, I don’t know, say 1000 people, just 200 less, none of this would have happened, and even though 200 more people would have died in Praimfaya, 1000 people surviving in the bunker is better than 814. There would be 200 more people still alive today.

If I remember correctly Cooper had 2 kids a teenage son and a grade school/pre-teen daughter; his wife is dead I believe. When he leaves, his son is already bitter about it and he wont leave messages for his dad when asked to, but the daughter would and held hope that he would come back. But when the years went by she became angry at him like her brother and basically said that this is the last time she is messaging him and that is when she is a grown woman. Thought I'd clear that up.

I legit thought you were talking about Kara Cooper, and i was like, she had kids? I don’t remember kids. 

I felt like we would have heard about kids before she got eaten from the inside out by sandworms. lol.

They’re talking about INTERSTELLAR folks. The mc is named Cooper
