Review: TMNT Universe # 14
At the end of the last issue, Karai, Koya, and Bludgeon ventured further into the vault housing the legendary sword only to be surrounded by zombies. Not only do they have to fight through these creatures, but they also have to face the guardian of the sword before they can claim it.
Meanwhile, we find out the real reason the crime boss - Hayashi Toru - sent Karai after the sword. His granddaughter, Natsu - the assassin who shot Karai - has some mixed feelilngs upon finding out the truth about her grandfather's intentions.
There are again some great character moments - from Bludgeon defending Koya and Karai to finding out more about Natsu. The art is outstanding. Campbell does such a good job with the elements of horror and grotesque in this issue! The Koya and Bludgeon backstory continues to be interesting. This time, Koya is challenged by a demon.
