You haven’t put a post up so I hope you don’t mind but your karaoke posts made me wonder what karaoke!rumbelle would sing? Like if young Bae/Neal/Gideon had a machine and the family sang in private at home, or if Ruby dragged Belle up on stage at a night out? What do you think would be Belle’s song?

I don’t mind! I’ve got a load of stuff in my inbox that I should probably get round to answering, so this is good incentive to have an answering fest.

As for karaoke…

This is so difficult because there are literally so many songs that remind me of rumbelle, but I can’t imagine either of them actually singing.

ACTUALLY. There was a deleted scene in Maison Rouge where the theatre family had a mini karaoke party in the auditorium over the Christmas break. It never made the final cut of the fic, but most of the songs were Disney classics. As far as I can recall, Gold did a pretty nifty Be Prepared from The Lion King, and Belle sang A Whole New World from Aladdin. (I specifically wanted to avoid songs from their own film…)

I think A Whole New World suits them pretty well, actually, what with all the travelling and adventuring they do.

As for the other side of the coin, Ruby would totally be into karaoke and would definitely drag Belle up on stage, and literally as I was writing this, I had a vision of them completely hamming it up to Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert’s Something Bad.

(Apparently I’m a closet country and western fan…)
