JKA Shihan Shigeru Takashina September 28, 1943 - Septmber 3, 2013. Takashina Sensei demostration in the 1980's at one Master Nakayama Memorial Tournaments in Denver, Colorado. One of the great JKA instuctors sent to the US to teach Shotokan Karate. Had many great memeories with Takashina Sensei starting in 1975 when he was the US team coach for the World Championships. Besides being on numerous US teams with him serving as coach, training in many classes of his classes, golf outings and other social activities I enjoyed every minute of it.
