Who says ‘I love you’ first?

Who usually apologizes first when they fight?

Since you were so lovely as to send in an ask, I’ll answer all three! 😊

Matt says “I love you” first. He does a lot of work at the beginning to regain Karen’s trust.

As for apologies, it depends. They both are incredibly stubborn, so it doesn’t happen quickly. Karen is more likely to verbally apologize, while Matt tends to hug it out instead.

And a random fluffy one: On the rare occasions that they spend the night away from home, they sometimes switch which side of the bed they sleep on—Matt insists on always sleeping between Karen and the door.

YAY!!! Thank you so much for the ask. I've been dying to write out my Karedevil headcanons. I have a few for you:

Everyone, including Karen, gets on Matt's ass about working too hard, tells him he has to take time to rest, etc., but Karen's no better. If she finds a good lead, she'll get tunnel vision. Sometimes Matt comes home from Daredeviling and she hasn't moved, notebooks and files and her laptop all piled around her.

Because of this, they have to be really intentional about fitting downtime into their schedules. They've learned not to get mad when the other suggests that they're overworked and need a break. They take a good amount of work home; that way they can work and cuddle at the same time. :) If they're not working, it's pretty chill - takeout, snuggled under a blanket and listening to a podcast.

Matt finds it incredibly soothing when Karen plays with his hair. He'll lay down on the couch with his head in her lap and she absentmindedly does it while she's reading.

Matt also finds it incredibly soothing to play with Karen's hair, and he does it every chance he gets. When they go to bed, Karen makes sure her hair isn't tucked under her head or anything so Matt can run his fingers through it.

For the ship+word: karedevil + sick / taking care of the other

Hello! Firstly, thank you for the ask! I'll give you a few:

Matt can sense when Karen's getting sick before she does from subtle changes in her breathing or her voice. He's also basically a human thermometer. He can tell if she has a fever just from being in the same room as her, and if he touches her, he can give an accurate temperature within a few tenths of a degree - they know, they've tested it.

When Matt's sick, he's even more sensitive than usual and it can be painful. Headaches from amplified sound, dizziness and nausea from the invisible movement of his building. Karen hates seeing him like that because she doesn't feel like she can do anything for him, but Matt insists she's the only thing that helps.
