“Miss Karen, how are you doing with the sword, lately?” In his eyes she seemed like a fast learner when they had last worked with the sword together. It’s surprising really, because adults took longer to learn something than when a child was learning something. He heard the saying before: Can’t teach an old dog new tricks. NOT that he was saying Karen was old or anything. She wasn’t, but---you get the point. She was much older than he was.
“Are you ready to learn some more?”
