You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm asking myself if the devs of Mouthwashing chose Polle's name based of the song "Polly" by Nirvana.

For those who don't know, "Polly" is a song about a girl being r*ped, but from the r*psit's pov, and I can even see some similarities with the game in a couple of parts of the lyrics. (you can check them out here if you want)

... Or maybe Polle is a common name for a horse and I'm going to far, idk you tell me

Alright! I have a theory (if u can call it that) about Silksong and more specifically about Lace!

So we all already theoriesed that SS will have a religious aspect: the rosary, the bells worship, etc...

But Lace triggered my attention on something (it's just a theory and I might have gone to far with it so take my word with a grain of salt)

The word Lace kinda resemble another word that is lice:

If u look at a pic of a lice and Lace, you can see a small similarity (they're both white with some dark features) and from that we can assume that Lace might be a lice

Now let's talk about lices in the religion:

Lices are the 3rd plague on the Plagues of Egypt (a religious plague)

It was a prediction of something bad (more specifically, death)

So Lace is either a bad sign for hornet or a bad sign for the worshiped entity

And a last note (not about Lace but it's important to point out) , the 3rd plague can be either portrayed by Lices or mosquitoes.... Does it remind you of something?

(Lace and the SA has some similarlies too, they might be working together)
