LA BELLEZA Y SU EXPRESIÓN
@alsotravelingthrough:
Another day, another trip shopping through one of the most popular Wards of the city. Unfortunately, Mary Goo doesn’t get past the first street before screams and shrieks of horror fill the air. She absorb the cans and bits of litter thrown her way easily enough, then spits them out once the crowd is gone to ooze her way to a display rack of cute and lacy lingerie.
“ᏂᎧᏁᏋᏕᏖᏝᎩ, РĔŐРĹĔ Ƭђ૯ઽ૯ đαyઽ ɑʀɛ รѳ ʀuɗɛ!”
“ꌦꇩꀀ'ꋪ℮ ᶰᵒᵗ G✿ǸǸA ⓟⓔⓛⓣ mê шlтн тнlngS тоо, RIGHT?”
The last question is directed to the only straggler left in the chaos, that of a dark-haired girl. Three eyes pop out of the ooze to make sure they catch her reaction.
We fall into miscommunication || David & Karen
David had spent the past twenty minutes staring at the wall. Karen had ignored his last text... like he'd expected her to. God, he should have known she would act like that. Sleep with him, act like she really could want him, then turn round and say it shouldn't have happened. She was obviously confused, maybe just looking for somebody to make her feel better for a night but why him? He felt even worse than he had before. He couldn't stay here now... not after this. He'd tried to kid himself that he didn't have any residual feelings for Karen but, honestly, they'd never really gone away. At all. Even when he'd been sneaking around with Siobhan he'd still loved her. He really had so he couldn't entirely explain why he'd bothered with Shiv in the first place... but he had and it wasn't like he could change it. He couldn't change anything. Especially crashing that car on purpose, which he felt incredibly guilty over every second of the day. How he managed to stuff it down until it was merely a dull ache was beyond him. Add to that the guilt he now felt about Gemma - this was his fault for not staying away from her - you could say that he was having a fairly shitty existence. Nothing changed in Baberton, it seemed. Only this time there was no Siobhan to make him feel better. He'd felt a little better last night... no. No, he hadn't. He couldn't think like that because Karen hated him. She must. Or... maybe not hated considering she'd been capable of sleeping with him but it must be something pretty damn close. He'd actually been fairly unable to believe his luck when she'd kissed him, to be honest, and he was annoyed that he always seemed to pull away from everybody at the slight hint of something good happening. Truthfully, David didn't feel like he deserved any of it. Maybe that was why. Not that he could ask Karen directly - she'd psychoanalyse him, which is what he'd been afraid of years ago.
He sighed, frustrated, and threw his phone across the room. Trust the only person to actually message him all week other than -A to be Karen with the sole intention of rubbing his face in what a mistake she thought this all was. He swallowed hard, stood up, and grabbed his jacket. He wasn't going to be walked over. Not this time. It didn't take him long to drive to Karen's... but he lingered outside in the car for a few minutes, ready to drive off like a chicken. Something stopped him, though, and he cut the engine and got out, marching up to the house and rapping his knuckles on the front door.
