I wouldn't change much on his design. The only thing I would change is his usefulness in here to contrast what was done with him in the actual comic. He would be the equivalent of Genie from the Aladdin animated series, and still keep his friendship with Tarot, which would be the reason why he tags along and shows up unexpectedly.
