KARKAT X READER
The Cold the Stars ... and something else for ofnightmaresandreality
It was a peaceful night on Earth, the home planet of the humans, certainly something completely new to the troll settled under the thin fleece blanket shivering his ass off. Karkat was never one to enjoy the cold but this was outrageous it was the middle of winter and you had dragged him out here for some ungodly reason.
“Look!” you exclaimed your finger pointing towards the darkened sky where only pin-pricks of light shown through it’s ashen veil. “There it is.”
“There what fucking is?!” The troll exclaimed he couldn’t feel his legs now and he put a little more bite than he meant to in his words.
It didn’t phase you though “Can’t you see it? It’s the Crab!”
Karkat squinted up at the stars raising a brow at you when he looked back down, you seemed to be enraptured in them.
He bit his cheek, a nervous habit he was starting to develop. “Yeah, yeah I see it.”
Happily you plopped down beside him on the bench wriggling to get warmer against the troll. “You’re a terrible liar.” you state chuckling and snuggling up beside him.
“Yeah whatever.” he says leaning into you and staring up at the stars you loved so much thinking that maybe, if he squinted, he could see all the constellations dancing together.
and in the back of his mind he thought ... I wouldn't mind doing this more often ... especially with you.
