Ok, the two ideas I had/realized was
1) Mellohi is the shortest music disc, not counting 11, but I won’t since 11 is more Minecraft lore then an actual music disc. It’s 1:36 seconds long. And who’s the youngest members on the server? c!Tommy, at 16 (I’m pretty sure) it’s probably a coincidence, but it’s interesting to think about, c!Tommy has experienced so much considering his so-far short life
2) well, the name and meaning (sorta) the Minecraft wiki describes the disc as a “slow, melancholic waltz.” Melancholy is defined as “a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause.” c!Tommy has experienced much trauma and tragedy in his life, sometimes for no aparent reason. Also, the feeling I get from listening to Mellohi.. isn’t what I’d expect from c!Tommy. He’s usually known as brash, loud, excited, sometimes a lil rude. And yet, the disc he seems to care most about is a slow, saddening song described as a waltz, which is usually a very formal form of dance. I’m not sure how to put it into words, but it could be some symbolism of how much pain and sorrow c!Tommy has experienced, unjust or not.
I also want to add that Mellohi was the disc c!Tommy gave to, trusted c!Tubbo with. As a form of trust. Perhaps this could mean something with how c!Tubbo is one of the only characters on the server c!Tommy felt he could trust, whether it’s trusting him with a disc or trusting him with his past/trauma

but i get what you're saying about mellohi not being a very 'tommy' song. mellohi is quiet and tommy is loud. i see mellohi as tommy's way of expressing. he has to put up this stubborn, annoying, loud and brash personality to protect himself. if he ever showed emotion, like he did during exile, it would be used against him. so he puts up this defense mechanism of acting like he's all tough and mighty so or anyone around him doesn't get hurt. but he has to express it somehow. so he uses his disc's.
