I agree with you completely on the headcanon rant there. Let ppl head canon stuff in peace. If ya "don't buy it" or whatever else, just keep scrolling. It'll save you time, it'll save that person time. It'll make less stress for everyone involved. That's Among Us for that last chapter, wasn't it? Love how the rest of the crew was just like "Nothing wrong here" once the captain died. And I can guess as to who is who here. Sunny and Shade I'm guessing is Yang and Blake. Little Red obviously is Ruby. Snow is Weiss. Obsidian and Lime I'm guessing are Mercury and Emerald. I'm guessing the three that died on Skeld, forgot what colors they were already sorry, were Pyrrha or Jaune, Ren, and Nora.

Little Red, Snow, Shade and Sunny are Team RWBY: well guessed.

Captain Crimson was Fuck You McGoatman Adam, so it made perfect sense that no one would mourn his loss, especially if all that was left was the minimalistic legs and part of spine that is the Among Us corpses.

Obsidian, Lime and Steel were Cinder, Emerald and Mercury respectively, so partial points there.

Then Golden is Pyrrha, you're correct there. I did originally envision having a moment showing that Obsidian killed Golden to nail home who was who, but it bogged it down.

But the other two weren't any other members of JNPR; Cacao and Olive were meant to be Coco and Yatsuhashi.

There were a couple of other Easter Eggs too - the Hallowed Horizon and the team's goal of getting home centred around the fact that this chapter released (at least in AUS) on Ruby's birthday of 31st Oct.

Also, the parasite that took over Shade was very much a Venom stand in. I even called it a loser and had it eat part of Crimson.

But all in all, I'm glad you liked the chapter, and I hope you enjoyed the story as a whole!
