Michael Bachelor married Summer Holiday in 1300. In 1303 Summer got pregnant with their firstborn, Hollis Bachelor, who as born in 1304. Summer was very weak afterward and the couple was brokenhearted when Hollis was stung by a bee in 1305 and died. Having recovered physically, Summer found herself pregnant again in 1306 and was hopeful for the future only to be crushed by a miscarriage. In 1307 she was once again pregnant and the couple prayed every day for a positive outcome and it seemed to have worked as the gods blessed them with healthy twins, Simis and Jocasta. That she got pregnant again so quickly after the birth seemed to be a sign of their continued favor. Unfortunately, her labor was very long and difficult and Summer did not survive though her daughter Mera did.
Needing a mother for his three small children, Michael hired a matchmaker and married a widow from San Sequoia, Xochitl Luna. She joined the household along with her daughter, Karmine, who is now engaged to Alexander Goth.
Michael Bachelor, 33
Michael has seen a lot of tragedy in his young life but hopes his new marriage will usher in a period of prosperity for his somewhat poor family. He always has had a very bright outlook on life which has made him well-liked in the village.

Xochitl was nervous about accepting a match from so far away from her home, but she hoped a change in would help her daughter Karmine's health improve. She is a very lovely, loyal woman.

Though she is in poor health, Karmine has always had lofty goals for herself. She has dreams of joining a local guild hall as an artisan, a painter or perhaps a potter, and she's excited by her engagement to Alexander Goth.

Simis has always been the easiest baby, never fussing, always smiling. He's just a little angel. (I forgot to age him and Jocasta up for the family photo, whoops!)

Unlike her twin brother Jocasta has always been a lot more cautious when it comes to anyone outside of her close family, but she's grown more and more curious as she grows up.
Mera Bachelor, 1
The newest Bachelor in the village, many think her difficult birth led to her being such an unhappy baby. She's never happy, always crying... Michael didn't know what to do with her on his own.
