"Don't you have more pressing matters to attend to instead of wasting my time with— whatever that thing is supposed to be?" If the irritation wasn't already plain through the words spoken and tone used, 'twas surely apparent through the brows furrowed ( deeper than usual ) with arms crossed over his chest.
PLEASE DON’T BE EVEN GRUMPIER AFTER THIS // always accepting ♥ @wingspanned
Where his friend is all irritation, furrowed brows and crossed arms, Hythlodaeus answers with a giggle, demeanor entirely unaffected by the annoyance Hades displays. Perhaps he shouldn’t waste Emet-Selch’s time in such a manner; but if the other sincerely had more urgent business to attend to, the Chief Architect believes he would be attending to them already. As is, his friend’s reaction seems to be but the ordinary -- and used to it as he is after countless ages of friendship, being refused so does not impact him at all.
“ Oh, come now, honored Emet-Selch, you barely looked at the concept before deeming it a waste of time, ” Not unusual, either, for Hythlodaeus to share aught he found interesting amidst concepts to be reviewed, which he had done just before Hades’ complaint. Why did he find it interesting, of course, and if that opinion would be shared ( it wouldn’t ) were different matters altogether. “ And on my part, why, is the act of reviewing concepts not part of mine own obligations? I am attending to the matters that require my attention. ”
“ It is designed to be resistant to scorching climates and to defend itself with needle-like projectiles. ” He explained, looking at the cactus-like creature presented in the project before purple eyes fall upon his friend once more, filled with mirth the other is bound to recognize even before he continues to speak. “ Resistant to warmth and prickly --- I was sure you would like this one. ” What he means by this is for Hades to guess; on his part, Hythlodaeus offers him no more than an amused smile.
