Text: Ri and I are up for it! She's going to bring the junk food and I'll bring the sweets. Do we need anything else?
[ text ]: Awesome! I think that is pretty good, I'll be ordering pizza and we should be well stocked in beer and soda. I still need to talk to Jackson about it but I am sure I can totally convince him!
Left outside his door is an envelope with two coupons inside that allow him to redeem any beverage of choice from The Neutral Ground with a note slipped inside: Merry Christmas Elijah!
In the area where Bossman generally leaves his things during his shift is a box containing several different kinds of coffee beans, that are fairly rare and require extensive traveling to obtain but Kasey has her ways and a note attached: Merry Christmas Bossman! I got you more beans to experiment with, just please open the first one first because it smells really really good.
Lucas grinned, already relishing the cups of coffee he'd make with the beans. He sent Kasey a quick text to thank her, making sure she knew how much the gift meant.
Outside Jamie's door is a shoebox decorated with images of everything that the other girl loves and inside the box are a collection of photographs that show how Kasey and Jamie's friendship has progressed over time with a note inside: Merry Christmas Jamie. I love you best friend.
Jamie was seething as she hopped out of bed. She didn't want to wake up this morning, despite getting a full night of sleep; it took every fibre of her being just to swing her legs off her mattress. It was still early and, just her luck, it was freezing. She shivered as she made her way across her room, tightening the blanket around her shoulders in attempt to make herself warmer. Getting up shouldn't be an option today and, if she could, she'd remain curled up in her bed and never move. But it was Christmas, and just bad manners.
When Kasey asked her what she wanted for Christmas, the brunette requested not to receive anything. Her argument was 'I get to spend the day with you and Courtney. What more could I want?' Even without gifts, it was far better than spending the holidays with Ethan. She could only imagine how it would go - between her yelling and her father's offhand comments, they wouldn't even have time for Christmas dinner. Yes, she would rather have this.
She opened the door to her room and as she stepped into the hallway, she kicked her toes against something. Jamie knew the Morgan house better than the back of her hand, and that wasn't supposed to be there. Gazing down at her black rabbit slippers, she groaned when she saw a shoe box filled with photographs and knick-knacks. She muttered a few choice words under her breath as she leaned down to pick it up, losing her doona in the process. "I told you not to get me anything. So you did anyway."
She wasn't mad, though - how could she be? A goofy smile spread across her face as she backtracked to her room, placing the box on her bed. Hopefully Kasey liked her present as much as Jamie did hers.
Text: Rosie! I miss seeing your adorably charming face at the Ground. Won't you please come around?
Text: Did Luke put you up to this?
Text: Happy Birthday Mr. Fireman Who Doesn't Always Save Cats! I hope you had a really great one!
[Text]: *Firefighter[Text]: Thanks. I'm finally off nights come this weekend so I plan to celebrate.
Text: Thank you for checking my candy for me.
Text: No problem, Kase. I just wanted to make sure you ate safe. And I hope you haven't eaten all of the candy already.
