Townie Makeover: The Goth Household

About eight years ago, the Goth family broke ties with the Villareal family. Before, both families were on familiar terms, Bella Goth and Mireille Villareal were close friends. Rumor has it Mireille Villareal's vanishing, and Jacques Villareal's behaviour after the incident might be the reasons behind the broken ties.

October, which better month to show off my makeover of the most iconic family in the Sims franchise? Meet the Goth family.

Bella, Mortimer, Kassandra, Alexander, and little Amos. Neighborhood stories decided Bella and Mort wanted another little one. ^_^ According to my stories' lore the Goths are spellcasters. Bella underwent the Rite of Ascension to gain her powers years ago. While Mortimer, hailing from a long bloodline of spellcasters, was born with magical powers. All the Goth kids are spellcasters by the way.

Bella and Emily celebrate Kassandra’s birthday.

Bella: “It’s a little girl. I’ll call her Kassandra, with a K. I’ve always liked that name.”

”Kassandra, you need to learn to respect other people's opinions.”

“I do respect other opinions!” Kassandra protested. She paused. “Other informed opinions,” she corrected herself. “Someone who is deliberately ignoring facts isn't worthy of respect.”

“Sometimes opinions are not completely reliant on facts,” Mortimer said. “Sometimes... It's about how the individual feels.”

Kassandra struggled to contain laughter. “Argumentum ad passiones.”

“Even emotional arguments have their value,” Mortimer replied.

Kassandra rolled her eyes. “I'm going to my room.”

Every day, Kassandra grew more and more frustrated with her peers.

“Hello, dad!” Kassandra said with the most convincing smile she could manage.

Which was not a particularly believable one.

There was an awkward pause. She could sense how her father’s thoughts were speeding back and forth in his head. Her father’s political views may be completely backwards, but he was intelligent enough to understand something was off when his otherwise asocial daughter bothered saying hi. He put the book back into the bookshelf and turned around with a frown.

“Did you get expelled from school again?”  he asked.

Kassandra grinned. “Great, looks like you already figured it out! Excellent! I’ll see you at dinner!” She didn’t need to look at his face to know he was horrified.

“What happened?”

“Debate went a bit overboard and the teacher was livid,” Kassandra shrugged, and had just taken a step out of the room when he asked the follow-up question:

“Was it about alien abductions again?”

“… No.”

“Paranormal sims?”

“… Maybe.”
