Kat: “If you opted out the robot eyes that can glow like headlights then WHAT was the POINT?!”

Her actual eyes are only half of her optical input. The sensors on her cheekbones give her nightvision and thermal imaging because she wanted the stipend for trying out experimental BioMech. She got the flashlight option because it looks cool, dammit.

A note: She uses her flashlight eyes as part of her DM persona when she’s monologuing.

Happy Anniversary to the time I rushed into this darn thing!! It’s okay though I’ve learned a lot in the time since then and my pacing’s better for the break, so hopefully it’ll have been worth the years I was too overwhelmed by college stuff to do anything with these babes.

If she's got sensors on her cheeks, why does she wear glasses?

Kat’s glasses don’t actually have lenses in them. 

She takes them off to do anything important, but really she just likes how the frames look on her face. Also she doesn’t tend to use thermal imaging or nightvision in her normal daily routine.

Finally did a Patreon wallpaper! I wanted to participate in Mermay but also I wanted to draw Cybergem stuff to get back in the swing of things so WHY NOT BOTH? Marine animals with prosthetics are already a thing so Cyborg mermaids are totally doable. Just adapted Satoko’s biomech to be something a fish could be fitted with (most of the movement’s controlled with her shoulders).

Inktober Day 4 - “Black and White” / OcOctober Day 4 -“Swimwear”

Okay I said I was gonna just do weekly posts mayhaps but I LIED. “I should probably tone it done with these inktober prompts” I said. “Turns out I have done the exact opposite thing” I said.

Kat actually worked for both prompts (her hair came to mind for the Black and White one first) so I considered doing a “centerfold spread” with her, but it was between signatures so the center would’ve been a bit too loose. Ended up giving myself hand cramps over a darn dragon picture instead. Still, ended up with hella pics of dragons and a cute chub. Worth it.

“Kat Marcey. Angora Mau if you know me by my ‘literature’ haha~”

2. How old are you?

“Currently 22!”

3. How would you describe yourself, as a whole, in ten words?

“Confident, adventurous, matronly to a fault, and a tad possessive.”

4. What’s your favorite food?

“I never turn down Tai food. Curry in particular is a favorite of mine.”

5. How do you feel about your job situation?

“The Agency provides for me and my family, and it has led me to making some very dear friends. I will always be thankful for that. However, it is a tad monotonous, hence my writing and extracurricular income.”

6. What’s your most treasured possession?

“Eric splurged and bought me a lovely ring for our anniversary this year. I rarely wear it in everyday circumstances–mostly because it’s best to keep relationships relatively private around here–but it is very special to me.”

7. What’s your favorite song?

“Ohh! Call me a hopeless romantic but I love me some good old fashioned soul music. They’re always the best for singing anyways, and when they can make a certain flustered boy blush to his fingertips that’s always a plus!”

“Queen Latifah. Gracious me the woman awakened something in me let me tell you that much.”

“The good Lord has blessed me with good looks, a big heart, and an ass that won’t quit. I love myself and that is that.”

“Oh I’m usually in a similar outfit, honestly. If the color readings in my eyes are off for some reason it’s a bad day to be trying to pick out new clothes. Just some comfy black jeans and a few silk tops do me good. Anything looks fancy with the right jewelry and attitude to go with it.”

“Absolutely! I am curls over toes in love with a certain engineer by the name of Eric Auttenberg have been for about five years now~”

12. Can you tell us about a certain piece of juicy gossip that’s been going around?

“Believe you me, if it’s true it’s about damn time Mrs. Paxton got approved for that child leave. She’s been wanting a baby for years now. Course it’s always awkward in the time people hear you’ve been approved for child carrying and when you actually take off because everyone in the world knows you two are going at it like rabbits in the meantime once your contraceptives have worn off! Best of luck to them though. The two of them are a bunch of sweethearts and deserve only the best.”
