This a perfect example of Kataang hypocrisy. He says that Zutara removes Katara’s agency, but he wants her to get with a guy that kissed her twice without her consent. He says that if Katara gets with Zuko that will treat her as a trophy for Zuko’s redemption, but the narrative treats Katara as a trophy for Aang saving the day. Says that Zutara is just trauma bonding because they both lost their mother at a young age, but Kataang has this deep parallel because Aang found Gyatso’s skeleton and Gyatso is his father figure, then Katara is was the first person to see her mother’s corpse. If they just say that they prefer Kataang over Zutara I wouldn’t care. But so many Kataang shippers turn this into a morality thing where you are good if you ship Kataang and if you ship Zutara you have no concept of romantic love and you are doomed to only toxic relationships which you deserve only because you ship Zutara.
