@katariisaamāĀ Ā -`į¦Ā“- for a starter:
Fenris hadnāt been in the Inquisition for too long, but so far it didnāt seem as bad as it could be. He honestly hadnāt expected to see Qunari here though, but they were a welcomed sight to the Elf. Sure, they harmed many in Kirkwall, but that situation was a tricky mess to begin with.Ā
Who was he to judge them anyways?
He quietly drank a bottle of wine, only to stop mid drink as a massive form sat beside him at the bar, his olive eyes side glanced the male Qunari. It silently reminded him of the short time he sat with the Fog Warriors, especially seeing this man was a rogue.
āNice daggers.ā really though, the craftsmanship in them were beautiful,Ā āDid you make them yourself?ā
Under the Bird
@katariisaam
Tay was almost never assigned to meet a new recruit. That was his brothers job. Val, his brother, was the one with the pretty smile and the pretty clothes and the personality that made someone want to join their organization. Tay was the opposite. He was blunt, impatient and he didnāt have the time to speak to people. Despite that, he was requested to meet a new recruit and the Nightingale had given the request. That was enough to peak his interest, but he was still skeptical. There was a Qunari standing beside the small redheaded woman. Their size difference was almost comical. He smiled because of it, and his smile was wide. The man was a tower compared to her and the Nightingale was supposed to be the most frightening force in all of Thedas. He wasnāt diminishing his advisors skill, but it made her look a bit cute. He would never say that out loud. āInquisitor.ā Lelianna moved towards him and practically bowed, but not entirely. He hated it. āReally, Leli. Stop.ā āThis is Isaam.ā She relented. āHe has been a great asset to my agents, but I believe he will benefit you more in the field.ā Tay sighed. He felt like he was speaking to a piece of paper with her sometimes and he rolled his eyes. āYouāre saying this guys gonna be on the field with us, yeah?ā He linked arms with the new recruit. āGreat timing! Itās late and I needed a new drinking buddy.ā āCare to join me?ā Maybe he was a bit too direct and forceful, but the bird gave him the jitters and he wanted to get away. Before she could interject, Tay asked the Qunariās name and unlaced their arms when they were away from the bird. āIām Tay, mind joining me for a drink? Whatās your name anyway?ā

āYouāre from the marches, right? Never really went out that far while mercing, whatās it like? Where from the Marches are you from?ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā itās revolting.ā the altus murmured as he attempted to nestle even further into the warmth of his cloak.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā I donāt think Iāve ever been so cold in my entire life...ā he continued, grumbling through chattering teeth. dorian missed being inside. yes, skyhold may still be drafty and chilled, but at least it was sheltered, andĀ had the benefit of warm fireplaces,Ā manyĀ blankets, and the luxury of a warm bath. ohhh what dorian wouldnāt give for a hot bath right now, to regain some feeling in his freezing limbs.Ā

Casting Shadows
[Question Starters]
@katariisaam āWant some?ā (Its probably food of some sort but interpret it as you lik :>)
Somewhere, in the back of his mind, Elerosse knew the call for dinner had gone out, as it did every evening once the Inquisition encampment became settled in the hills above Redcliffe Village. He knew he should have gotten up, taken a break, gotten a little bit of food in him. Maybe then the map spread before him might have started to make a bit more sense with the missives on troop movement he was trying to work from.
The flickering lamplight probably wasnāt helping much either, and when a large shadow moved through the Inquisitorās light, the poor elf startled. Flinching back, his hands already reached for his staff, wild eyes darted to find the source of the shadow, only to land on... a Qunari? Yes, right. Heād seem this man around camp. Couldnāt come up with his name, but it was hard to forget such a distinctive silhouette, and he seemed to be offering... food?
āFenedhis...ā he breathed and placed a hand over his chest to calm his pounding heart. āIām sorry, yes. Thank you. Creators... I didnāt hear you, Iām so sorry.ā
Ā Ā Ā āNot everything that comes from my homeland is entirely awful. I mean, thereās the constant war, the great game, the game the Magisterās play for fun, the power struggles, and of course every once in a while there is a loud mouth talking about change. They usually get themselves killed, but the South? Itās awful, itās too cold, and I think Iām actually starting to smell.ā

Dirge, Scales, Lightning
MONSTROUS HEADCANONS:
⬠- DIRGE - a habit, hobby, or obsession they canāt seem to shake
Well, Kaaras has OCD, so thereās a lot of things that become small obsessions he canāt seem to shake. He constantly readjusts his clothes, gloves especially, he makes sure his boot laces are tied about 5 times before heās okay with knowing theyāre done up correctly. He is exceptionally neat and tidy, he bathes multiple times a day (if it allows him to of course, sometimes he canāt and that makes him really agitated that heās dirty). He flexes his fingers a lot (doesnāt crack his knuckles though he just flexes them), his space needs to be tidy and everything has its place. He cleans obsessively at times, and heās also a workaholic. He stress eats and paces when heās restless, twirls the rings on his fingers when heās anxious or nervous, and before he leaves areas, he has to make sure everything is a-okay before he leaves. I think this is also why Kaaras does hisĀ āward roundsā when it comes to checking in on his companions. He does it all the time to check if things are needed, stores are up to par, cleaning and repairs, etc. Basically... Kaaras is aĀ ācontrol freakā for lack of a better term. Although heās learned to not be invasive and to also trust others can do their jobs, his mother was really good in dealing with his OCD and helping him control his obsessions, but some days are still worse than others, especially if heās overly stressed. You might see the gears ticking in his head when heās trying to work something out or push an obsession back, but there are times where he canāt and he just has to do whatever is needed to calm himself.Ā
ā - SCALES - how well they balance their good and bad impulses
Heās pretty good, actually. Kaaras is a man of logic (most times, considering his OCD--but heās also very AWARE of his OCD). Kaaras, over the years, has gained a LOT of clarity over who he is and how he operates, so heās very self aware, and he understands himself on most levels. This definitely means that heās not as impulsive as he once may have been. Heās still rather blunt in conversation, because heās not a liar, but heās really not the type of person to go out there and do something awfully impulsive that might put others at risk. Being a leader means having responsibilities, and that means consequences to actions. He follows his heart and his morals, which sometimes can mean heās impulsive, but also means he has to be quick on his feet in some instances also. So Iād say heās well balanced, it really is circumstantial. The only thing Kaaras is really impulsive about (outside of his OCD)... is finding out what that lever does >.> If he sees a lever, he wants to touch it.
Ļ - LIGHTNING - something they thought theyād left in the past, returned
Ah, this would definitely be his relationship with Stenn. Iāve not gotten to explore this a lot RP wise, but Stenn dies during Inquisition, and Kaaras finds out by letter from the Ralshokra. Heās GUTTED when he hears that he has been killed. I mean REALLY gutted. This was his ex lover, and while they parted, I think Kaaras always felt love for him, even if he couldnāt be with him. It resurfaces a LOT for Kaaras that he thought was in the past, especially because Stenn helped him with SO much about himself, including his sensitivity issues and his alcoholism.Ā
Thereās also the fact that Kaaras shared drunken nights with many people... Iāve not gotten to explore this in any RP unfortunately, but having one of his one night stands RECOGNISE him as Inquisitor would be a really interesting plot to go through with. Because it would also show how much Kaaras has grown and changed to be the man he is today, but also... Iām pretty sure thereās people out there going omg, I saw the Inquisitor naked! I kissed him years ago! Kaaras has surely received letters from past lovers he never thought heād see from or hear from again.Ā
