omg, I could yap about so many. but yellowjackets and arcane are both recent shows I've loved (though I've not yet watched any of yellowjackets season 3 AHH dodging spoilers left and right) arcane s1 especially is just, uh. a masterclass in writing, imo. so fucking good. maybe I'm just obsessed with ella purnell? probably.

8 - sunbathing
There is a basket of sleeping cats on the sunny windowsill of the Brenattos' Nicodranas home. One is fluffy white, one is dappled amber, and one is the sleek color of midnight. They curl around each other as though poured into the vessel like honey.
Jester looms over this triskelion of cats with mischief crinkling her eyes. “So cute,” she coos.
Then, tongue peeping out in concentration, she delicately touches just a single whisker.
“Mrrrp-?”
“MRrrrrpp--?”
“Mrroppp?”
Like fuzzy intuit charges, the waking of one cat promptly activates the rest.
“The CUTEST!!” Jester bemoans, sounding almost distressed. “HOW ARE YOU SO CUTE?”
The cats blink at her, sleepily. The midnight one yawns.
“Aghh!” Jester exclaims, then throws her hands in the air and leaves the room as though the cats have offended her.
One by one, the cats slowly re-settle.
The sun is warm.
They sleep.

We had a fantastic time! Met new people got to have the visceral thought put back into my head that those players are players and like legit people. And was terrified at 6'6 Zohorna standing at the glass near me for a hot second because it's not often I'm confronted with people more than like 2-3 inches taller than me and that guy has 8 inches on my 5'10 ass.
10/10 glad I got to go and honestly it makes me wish I had gone too more games this season even if tickets are in the higher lower bowl or straight upper bowl seats.
