who do you think is more unhinged about charles: max or the italians?
Sorry for Max but he will never be able to win this competition with Italians (specifically Italian men) hahahah
you know what, i actually want charles to become a nightmare. The demon terrorizing everyone on track. like i know everyone’s token Villain is Max and Charles is pure little meow meow, but i get more “the nice guy everyone loves who, as it turns out, was the villain all along” vibes from him. Unleash you demon, Charlie! Enter that sweet sweet Reputation era!
Oh anon, I’ll sell my soul for this, but we’ve been waiting for so long that I’m started thinking that Charles burried down all his inner terrorism in 2020 and turned to the brighter side - to the intelligence and beauty of “3d chess” in racing.
Which is beautiful. Like no regrets, I mean we all saw those insanely clean but on edge overtakes, but sometimes I miss times when everyone was afraid to start near him, when “troubles came to me”.
i always wonder why lestappen irritates me less than charlos
As someone who used to hate Max, then grew to like him, and now I'm just neutrally positive about him (because let's be real, my main focus is on Charles), and as someone who went from being pretty okay with Carlos, to actually liking him, and then ending up hating him, I gotta say, it all comes down to their competition vibes.
First of all, Max and Charles don't really have anything to fight about. Yeah, sure, they'll have their championship showdowns, but they're in totally different teams with different stuff going on. They're at different points in their careers, dealing with different pressures and processes.
And let's not forget, they've been at it so many times before. The whole rivalry thing? It's practically a defining feature of their life. They grew up with it.
And here's the thing: Max has talent, and he's got nothing to be jealous about. He can praise other people's talent (let's say Charles' talent, because honestly, I haven't paid much attention to what he says about other drivers).
The last but not least - they're just straight-up cinematic. The way they go head-to-head on the track, the intense competition, the maxplaining, ability to recognise each other as a top level rival — it's like watching a movie unfold right in front of you.
Something called "being portrayed as generation talent" I guess.
thoughts on the race
Well, not much.
Glad that Norris fighting to wdc agenda was stopped.
But I was focused on Ferrari to pay attention anywhere else. And for Ferrari - it was another poorly managed race. I’m counting days till 8 December.
Loved Charles on the radio, it was quite liberating feeling, like you know the proof that people actually see it. And his “you don’t understand” rn seems like a reference to media
I’m pissed with the stupidity of some fanbases, but I’m learning to not involve myself in this shit. Not my problem that people don’t watch races and choose delulu world where p5 is the biggest achievement.
Not much to say and remember, just another reminder of teamwork masterclass.
Would like to read yours
Perfect better start around minute 12 as they talked about how sainz owns leclerc one for Singapore. And it's the first time I hear someone talking like this media wise.
I finally listened to! And they got me on "I see that stat as a way of saying Charles Leclerc is absolutely magic over one lap not as a way of saying he is rubbish in races" F1: Chequered Flag. Mexico City Grand Prix qualifying review
why are most of the 1655s actually 5516s? i guess because they must be spanish fans maybe?
Well, to be honest i don't really get how it's to be "I support XYZ", because how it's even possible? I like other drivers from time to time for their personalities, for vibe, for the skill but anytime they are somehow near Charles, I will throw them under the bus. In 99% of situations (1% going to support Max win, since Charles had no chances at all and I need the downfall of papaya)
Sorry for the train of thoughts and going back to the question - they are just basically 55s, who use Charles for aesthetic and The Great Carlos agenda. Plus if you don't go deeeeep down (and they don't, i'm not sure if they are even watching races), c2 seems to cooperate great and be funny and homoerotic enough. So it's "uwu charlos" until "Leclerc is fucking rat"
Wrongly fired driver … 🤣🤣🤣 I love it.
Charles really did great today considering the tires were on strike, the pit stop timing was not the best and other chaos.
Max is my man today, he bullied those McLaren and the fia and Norris. I think he showed again he is a Charles and Ferrari fan. He did that for us.
It was such a damage limitation from Charles. Our boy still carrying the team on his back. I’m super ok with his race. Especially with mclarens behind him.
And Max just made me happy. Has never thought that I would be happy for someone apart Charles winning, but 1 - it was beautiful, 2 - it humiliated mclaren. Win-win situation
