This is the first fic I've seen where Sherlock is the one taking such precious care of John and it's beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. Sherlock is perfect, and John needs the world's biggest hug and maybe a medal for being so brave throughout. 

For the sake of my sanity, I'm choosing to believe that The Fall never happens, or that John is in on it. That's how much I love this story.

There's A First Time For Everything by wonderful kate_lear (whose fics are All so worth reading, whether there's something good on tv or not!) their sherlock is written so wonderful and the whole story is full of love from the beginning, even though they try to pretend otherwise (i love flustered sherlock :). flashbacks are entangled in a great way with what is happening “now”. a favourite :)

It’s V-Day, which means it’s time to reread one of my most favorite fics by one of my most favorite authors! It’s a pre-S2 story, but I still recognize this Sherlock and John. This is a fantastic read, full of most excellent banter, a shouldn’t-be-arousing-but-it-so-is tour of murder sites, hot sex, and so much love.

Rec: This is such a treat, it’s like getting two of your favs in one: first a nice juicy unilock with the first flush of falling head over heels in love -- and plenty of warm, snuggly sex -- and then a lush, angsty, pining-and-misunderstandings fic with a little casework thrown in.

My one caveat is that the middle section including all of chapters 6-8 are a one-to-one rehash of ASiP and if you -- like myself -- have very little patience for that kind of thing, it does not affect the story at all if you skip straight from chapter 5 to chapter 9.

Rec: A trope that doesn’t get old no matter how many times it’s done: John has amnesia, and Sherlock pretends they were a couple already. Which of course they were. :) All the best feels.
